So, good news and bad news, since I've been insanely busy book touring and haven't attended to my blog. The good news: Parkland : Birth of a Movement, was longlisted last month for a really prestigious award: the American Library Association's Andrew Carnegie Medal for best nonfiction book of 2019. Parkland: Birth of a Movement was nominated as Best Nonfiction Book of 2019 in the Goodreads Choice Awards . Please help by voting in the first round! Apple named me 1 of '10 authors to read in 2019'
This book launch has already been a bit of a thrill, but the biggest surprise so far came this week. AppleBooks created a special feature of " 10 Authors to Read in 2019 ," with a mix of some classics--Donna Tartt's The Goldfinch and Colson Whitehead's The Underground Railroad --and some new voices.
