As an FYI, Dave would like this to look as close to the other store pages as possible.

Thanks!

Ok then I guess that scaps any cool ideas...hehe

So then we can either try and recreate the other site,

Do the screencap and then cut it up into all the parts we need, buttens and such...I think...lol

Actually, there is not a lot on the forum store pages that can go on the Cafe Press store page. The logo at the top would be great (except we are changing it to say forum and link to the forum). The one sidebar on the right probably cannot go as it is mostly about Amazon. A few things from the left can go, but we also need to keep all the links on the current Cafe Press store.
Obviously, all the merchandise on the Cafe Press site will remain the same.

If we can make the font and colors match as closely as possible that would be great.

Play with it and see what we can do to make it as close a match as possible while keeping all the information that we need.

Thanks!

ok ! chris, i will work on that tomorrow (since it's quite late here already). i'll send you the exact color coding and so on...
as for the buttons, i'd say we could make them press-type...that's close enough to the original site, i guess Wink

Actually if we link the logo to the logo in the store then the cafe one should change when ever the store one does...I believe.

Bay City John has all but finished the new store pages for the site store (DVD page and Book page).

I'm hopeful the two of you might have something for us to review by tomorrow evening. I'm anxious to get this store up and running! Our members are all clamoring for a Jake Nasty Loves Me thong!

Thanks for all your work on this.

well then, let's pull all work force together !
chris, i'm going to make a couple of suggestions for buttons first thing tomorrow morning (it's around midnight here already, so i won't finish them before falling asleep).
the logo: we can of course just link the one from the store. the reason why i made a new one was because i'm not entirely happy with the white space on the top left side in the store. so i made a "longer" one. but if you like the store one better, i'm ok with that as well.

chris, what's going to happen with the coding ? will you do it the way it is suggested at the cafepress page or did you manage to find a way for from-the-scratch coding ?

The logo is tolaly up tp you, but we do have to keep it similar to the main site.

This coding is driving me nuts, I think it might be easiest to find a template that looks simalr then play with the colors and then insert all our stuff, might be best.

do you have the original of this nbanner (maybe in better resolution than the usual 72dpi used in the net) ?
if not, pete, do you know who has it ?

chris, does the coding cause problems ? i quickly browsed over the page at cafepress and my impression was that it should be fairly easy. but that might just have been my first impression  Wink. if we can find a template we can use, that might of course also work. basically, we only need a template with a side-button-bar and a banner on top. i'll check that out tomorrow as well, right now my head keeps falling on the keyboard, i need to sleep  Smiley

lol ya same here.

I dont have any of the images so we need pete.

The coding isn't the hard part just the way the site breaks it up is alittle annoying.

Next week i'm going to be in new orleans for work so i don't know how much time i will have...  I have never done the type of work i'll be doing there so ya...should be fun.

I sent both of you the revised/new pages John has done. This should be a great help!

Thanks.

have a good time in new orleans, chris !
in that case i think we have to ask for more time - pete, is that ok with you ? while chris is gone, i'll prepare all the graphics stuff so as soon as he's back and has time to do the coding, we should be ready.

Of course, I wanted it yesterday  Grin.

However, if we need some extra time due to Chris having to work what can I say? I hate when work gets in the way of what people should be doing!

I'm envious as New Orleans is my favorite American city. But, since I'm in Thailand at the moment, I can't be too envious.
