Hello again Ursala!

Well, you have 4 posts here at the moment.  When you post one more time, you'll be able to send PMs (private messages) to mods here with questions, if you have them.

If you look under my picture, you'll see three images, one of a little person, one of an envelop, and one of a little bubble.  After you make your 5th post, you can click that bubble to send messages to people here.

Thank you for the explanation. I will now have a look. You all make me very welcome here, that´s great. Ursula

Hi Ursula!  I can see you need to be able to "quote" Cheesy. Just click on the Quote button at the top right of their post and see what happens! (You can use 'preview' to see what your reply will look like.)

Thank yo so much Sason. I have found the German-Thread yesterday, but could not find the Welcome-thread anymore. Total lost. But it gets better and better (I do hope so). Ursula

Ursula, there is an easy way to get back to the threads you have once posted in.

At the top of each page, you see the big blue banner where it says DaveCullen.com.
Right underneath that, to the left, you see a box that says "User info".

The first line in that box will be: "Hey, u.lambinus, you have xx messages, xx are new."

The third line reads: "Show unread posts since last visit. Show new replies to your posts."
Those are clickable links. If you click the right one, it will show you a list of the various threads you have posted
at least one post in, and there will be a button that says "new". Click on that, and it will take you directly to the first
new post after your last visit to that thread.

Hello to all you Brokeback-Friends. My name is Ursula, I live in Germany with my husband and our cat. I´m 58 years old. I have retired from work 5 years ago and since then have the time to read all the wonderful stories about Brokeback-Mountain. I need this much time, I read with the help from my dictionary, because I learned english all by myself through reading. Reading and writing in english is not so easy for me. Im glad to be in this wonderful forum.

A warm welcome to the forum, Ursula.  I'm so glad to see you here.  I think we've met before...

Old Brokeback got us good, don't it?

« Reply #1421 on: November 19, 2012, 09:29:38 AM »

Hi everyone,

Another new Brokie! I first saw Brokeback Mountain about six months ago. Still not sure why it took me so long - I'm only six or seven years too late  Smiley
I'd heard about the film of course, how good it was - just never got to see it back then. I knew about Heath's death, knew who Jake was (I once saw "The Good Girl", didn't think it was very good  Wink ) and that was about it.

And then, on a Tuesday evening, six months ago, Old Brokeback got me good  Smiley Not even the first time I watched it - it was the second time that hit me. Don't know why, just the feel of the movie. The mountain, nature, sheep and those two guys... just perfect.

The film has been on my mind ever since, and thank heavens for the internet. Once I found this forum, I was hooked. God knows how many hours I've spent on here already. It has been an absolute joy to read through all these threads. It feels good to be part of it!

I'm Dutch by the way, and a 44-year-old single female.
