6 times - alone (sigh). The first 2 times were in the same theatre near downtown Denver but this theatre 'ruined' the experience for me on the 2nd time when the audio broke during the 1st tent scene. I vowed never to go back there to see the film but soon after that, BBM began to open in a dozen or more theatres around Denver. I figured if I go back, at least I would see it in a different theatre each time. 3rd time was in Boulder, 4th time in the suburb of Westminster, 5th time at the Arclight Cinema in Hollywood when I was there to visit friends for the weekend (best theatre, BTW), and 6th time was here in my home town of Louisville (Colorado) at the multi-screen just 2 miles down the road from my house.

I'm waiting for a friend who grew up in Sheridan, Wyoming (he's the one with the buddy who's building Annie Proulx's new house near Jackson, Wyoming) to take me for my 7th viewing (and probably his 4th) but trying to get him to come away is like 'seeing the Pope' (sound familiar).

I've gone three times, twice alone and once with my husband.  I just went this weekend and thought yes, this time is going to be the last time but I'm already contemplating going next weekend so you never know.

Does everyone admit to friends and family how many times you've been?
I don't.  They already think I'm crazy because I loved the movie so much.
Been 7 times.  I'll make it 8 tomorrow night, then probably twice more this weekend !
I'll go as long as it's at the theater, then get in line for the DVD.

8 times...

met up with 3 friends in Columbus, Ohio the first time (1 liked it, 2 were luke warm)

once with a lesbian friend (she liked it)

next with a str8 lade friend (she hated it-told me a week later-well, her husband dumped her after 25 yrs of marriage for a younger woman-she is still bitter and raw from that-she could really relate to Alma!-she couldn't see past the reunion kiss and the fall-out of that affair)

next 5 times alone and it was best that way

I'm hooked!!!!!!

ok surpassed the 20 mark now what?  I'm so nervous that it will leave the big theater.  I think I need to take a personal loan so I can take off the next 2 weeks and just go to the theater daily. No I'm not admitting to family how much I have seen they think it is causing major depression.  I have told a few friends.   Joe

I'm sitting here contemplating on taking a 1/2 day off work just to see it again for my 4th time. Waiting for the okay from my supervisor. Told her I wasn't feeling good !!!  Well, I'm not lying to her. I am feeling a little under the weather today, mainly because I ache to see these two hunks again in action. The trailer isn't doing it for me.....God only knows when it's going off the big screens.

We shall see........Smiley

Just been to BBM for the 8th time, with my Sister and her husband, and we also took our dear 78yr Mother with us cos she wanted to see "what all the fuss was about" after seeing it featured on the BAFTAS's last weekend.
As we left the theatre and she wiped a tear from her eye, she declared that she had "enjoyed it very much, but they certainly didn't make cowboys films like they used to in her day anymore"!.
