# 25 yesterday.

I almost had another 'private screening' but 1 couple came in during the last preview and sat right behind me.

I rushed out of the theater at the end as soon as the credits started to roll. I got up pretty abrubtly and almost ran out. I bet they thought I couldn't wait to get out. I had to go to the mens room to wipe my eyes because they were burning from the tears. I peeked back in the theater on my way out and they were still sitting there holding each other.

I went for my 12th viewing this past Saturday.  They movie is leaving the theaters bit by bit and I felt I had to offermy personal send off to the boys.

Sixth time last Friday. Only nine people in the entire theater  (2 PM afternoon show).

I had to see it again at least one more time before it leaves the theaters here in Chicago.

Only a few more weeks  (April 4) until the DVD is out !! Actually only 15 days and counting.

Best,

Rich (Chicago)

Eight times here.  Twice with a friend, six alone.  I am so glad to see everyone has had the same intense reaction to the movie as I did.  I have been preoccupied with it for 8 weeks now.  It has become part of my being and so hard to explain exactly why.  The tears are always just three sound track music notes away.

It will be 15 times as of this Thursday night, but find myself lying to most people when asked how many times I've seen it by answering "ohhhhh, I've seen it a few times".  Sounds like I need a 12-step program as I'm not interested in seeing any other films right now....do not want to emotionally invest in other characters, not ready for that right now !  Sicko alert, sicko alert !!  Hand me the Prozac please. Wink Cheesy Grin Smiley

I just tell them it's in double digits. I haven't added up how much I've spent on tickets.

Doesn't it irritate you when someone has to sit near you when the entire theatre is empty !

Actually, no it doesn't. I kinda like it. Like I said before, what i like about going to theatres is the shared experience. I can watch the movie alone at home anytime.

I was more irritated last week when there were 10 people and the girl in the last row kept answering her cell phone.

Does it matter really?LOL!
I think of it as a once in a lifetime experience, can't put monetary value into it:)

The theater count is down to one theater here in the Coachella Valley/Palm Springs area.
I'm glad I went for my 19th last Thursday at my favorite theater since they pulled down BBM from there this week.
Now its back to only playing in the only theater it began with mid. december last year.

No it doesn't matter to me. I'm sure I still spent less on my 25 tickets than I did for 1 ticket to the Streisand concert( $200.00). And I bought 2 at that price.

It appears that this is the last week BBM will be on theaters locally for me.  I took a half day off for # 8, and I hope to catch the late showing at least once in the next three days.  Then it's nail biting and short clips until the video comes out on April 4.

#13 today....1pm show. I really thought I'd have the theater to myself but 6 other lone stragglers came in.....5 women and another guy. I had a feeling I was amongst like minded souls although I'm pretty sure I was the only one crying. I was the only one who stayed thru the end and Rufus Wainwright....Get along little doggies!

I don't expect it to stay past this week in the suburbs but I bet it will still be playing at the Ritz in Center City Philadelphia for a while. It's near the gayborhood so maybe they get a big crowd each week. I'll just have to hop the train!

I saw it six times in the 6 weeks it was on in my neck of the woods, three times with a friend and 3 times alone (last time was 4 days ago).

A good friend was really keen to see BBM the last week it was on but, selfishly I know, I went alone to my last viewing so that I could enjoy every last moment.  Well, she is on at me to go and see something else - V for Vendetta maybe? - I wasn't paying much attention.  I'm fobbing her off at the moment - I can't imagine going and not seeing BBM on the screen, not so soon.

It is like I'm grieving for it - and I've still got FIVE WEEKS to go until the DVD comes out.  How will I stand it?!  And how much longer can I avoid going to see some crappy film to get my friend off my back?

Tonight was my ninth viewing, and in some ways the best.   I just keep getting in deeper and deeper.

Tonight (actually an afternoon matinee) the audience was wonderful.  They laughed out loud and they cried louder and more frequently than most.   I cried more too.  Each time is different, and this time I was thinking throughout the movie what a complicated person Ennis is.   And isn't.   (not that I don't think about this every time, but tonight it was more prevalent)

This is probably the last week it will be here... I will find out for sure tomorrow.   They know me there now, just like the poll says.   If this is it, I've got just a few days to make the pilgrimage whenever time allows.

Jack, I swear. Cry

A group of us from DC/VA/MD went to see it tonight.  For me it was #18.  Seeing it with friends who "get" it is the most rewarding experience.  The tears seem to flow more freely.  Discussing it afterward, in detail, with like-minded people, calms my soul.  The theater folks said it will be there at least 1 more week.  Thank God.
