i dont know why but i am sure that i am affected BBM more than legendary love stories in cinema history..casablanca,titanic,notebook,gone with the wind...neither..

I think that Ennis represents our ages men style still.I feel like Jack. From beginning to end i am in Jack shoes..i was him..i felt like him..i suffered like him..

and i felt uncompleted like him..

story cause to question every step of my life..and after being aware of Jack-Ennis LOVE i dont beileve modern times "i love u" s

Lokyi, you are definitly not alone.  There are many women here who were excited by the man on man sex and intimacy in Brokeback.

I hope you gals don't mind me popping in here briefly.....

Some of the posts above amused me because a female friend once confided in me that she and her husband used to watch not only girl on girl videos together but boy on boy ones too.  Her husband was not bisexual but she says it sure spiced up their sex lives.

True story!

I'm fearless, but I'd be more if I had their love

I was so shocked when I saw the movie, not in the gay thing but because of the kind of relationship Jack and Ennis had. That's all I've ever wanted since I was 14, to be loved unconditionally, and that's how they loved each other. But even better than this was seeing how they couldn't stand being away from each other, even though they did stay apart for very long. I always felt like we all knew what Ennis meant to say to Jack but never did because of his struggle with who he really was.

After watching Brokeback Mountain I was depressed for a week because of Heath's death. I mean, I idolize him, he was and still is one of the best actors of his generation and it just killed me (and still kills) that such an amazing person died in such terrible circumstances - he died because he wanted to be in good health for his new film. I lit a candle with his name carved every day, not because of any God beliefs (which I don't have) but as a symbol of how he was the brightest light and it was put out by his love for his job.

Anyway, when I am feeling a little low I just go watch my favorite parts of BBM (the love parts) and they kind of comfort me. I was incredibly mad that I couldn't cry while watching the movie because of unknown reasons (I have almost never been able to cry while watching a film, don't know why) because it made me feel so deeply sad and hopeless. Sometimes I think about what exactly I feel about the film and I just don't have any words to describe, I just have the feelings.

Umm, I gotta second that emotion!  I think guy on guy is HOT, esp. with two gorgeous men like Jake and Heath. Besides that, two people loving each other is always a beautiful thing, IMO.
My first experience seeing guy on guy was my lesbian roommate - she was watching some soft porn and  I was like "helllloooo, what have we here!?"  She thought it was funny since I identify myself as a straight, hetero woman.
