But I bet it didn't dampen the spirits, that pagent would be something to see, all the boats.   Long live the Queen, she really does seem so much happier and relaxed these days!

Had a good time with the grandchildren at a children's party (though disappointment that the queen wasn't there Cheesy) yesterday. Tonight it's a barbecue, bonfire and fireworks on the football field.

The bits of the big concert we watched were pretty dire - the presenters were just embarrassing, and didn't think much of the acts I saw. Went off to watch the lighting of the beacons - could see 3 of them.  And some good fireworks.

Wishing Prince Phillip a speedy recovery, so sad that he wasnt able to join The Queen for the rest of the celebrations. the Speach Prince Charles did at the end of the concert was very moving, very proud to be english!!!

Just found out that all the bunting in the village is staying up until after the Olympics - the only bit of the jubilee I watched was Annie Lennox at the concert - superb as ever!!!
