Bad News the cancer is spreading faster than they thought. The Doctors are treating her brian Tumor next week. She is still debating is she wants to go thru Chemo. My guess is that she will not. I will be there next week for the treatment. Still NO job yet either. Had a few leads but nothing. Thanks for ALL the prayers. Will post more when i can.  Cry Cry Cry

From my Step Father

This going to be the hardest email I have ever wrote. Dee got the worst news that we could get today. After the Pet Scan we had yesterday 7/11/12 we found out she has Cancer in Her hip, both lungs, brain, both sides of her neck, in some lymph nods, Tubs leading down into her lungs, In other words the poor gal has it all over. She made up her mind that she is not going to use Cemo at all. We will do Radiation on her brain so that maybe we cane get that tumor smaller so that she will not have head aches. The medicine  she is taking right now to shrink that  seems to be working becasue she doesn't have any head ache now. Dee says she is ready to go and doesn't want to lay around suffering. We have talked with her Sisters and they agree with what she has said she wants to do.
I called Hospice and a nurse came over and told us all about hospice and what they do and what they don't do and it is just what Dee wants. They will keep her comfortable and her pain under control. I don't see her getting any treatments from them for a bit yet but best to have the paper work behind us. Please keep the both of us in your prayers as we walk down this last path of life. Dee is ready as anyone can be to go home to here eternal home and that makes a person feel a much better.
                            God Bless You All
                                TOOT & DEE

Your Mum is being so brave, and so sensible, Tom.
A Hospice sounds a good idea, and will preserve her dignity.

more news from my step-father about my mother. In his words.

(July 5th 2:00 PM)The 4th of July ended up being a set back for Dee. We had gone to her Sons place for a real nice dinner and came home about 5:30 PM. Around 8 PM she got a real bad headache and I ended up taking her to the ER after I called my Brother in-law who is a ER DR in Bismarck. He gave me some advice before I went and it helped me a lot. They gave Dee a iv with some pain killer in it plus one with a drug to shrink the tumor. Then they took another MRI of her head and it showed that the swelling has gotten a little bigger. That  is what my Brother in-law thought might happen. They did offer Dee to be put into the Hospital but until we get the results of the needle test on her lung we didn't see were it would help and the Dr agreed. We are still waiting to hear the results and will not send this email till we hear something. The ER Dr. was talking surgery, and until we know more that is out of our minds. The other Doctors we have worked with feel the same way.

3:30 PM Dr. Briggs just called and told me that it is Cancer and the name of it is "Nonsmall Cell Carcinoma". I contacted Roger Maris Cancer Center and the soonest we could get in for a meeting with one of there Dr. would be some time after the middle of July. Dr. Briggs I am sure can get treatment started a lot faster at Essentia were we have been doing our Medical work. In fact what he told me was "I don't have any pull over there at Roger Maris but here at Essentia I know I can help you a lot in getting faster treatment" Dr Briggs has done one heck of a good job so far and we are very pleased with him. Essentia did all right with me and there are some friends we know that have had good results at Essentia.
                                   LOVE TOOT & DEE

PS now we have to double the prayers!!!!!!!!

((((((((Tom)))))))))

Double the prayers on the way!

Today I'm with my mother in Fargo, ND. She is receiving radiation for the brain Tumor right now. She is in good spirits right now too. She has already planned her funeral service. The cancer is spreading to fast for Chemo. They predict a 6 month time period for which to live.  Cry  THANKS for all your prayers and keep them coming.
