Grazie, Dahlia - I see you're from Italy Smiley.
This place is indeed amazing - and I've only been here for a week!
Again, grazie a te - and all the others, I keep saying it.

Hey little lamb Marc, how many languages do you speak?

And yes this place is still amazing even after all the time I've spent here.

Enpathy prevails and love flows freely.

Bonjour, Jean, comment ca va? A ce moment, je me rend fou avec... being on too many boards at the same time and trying to answer my regular e-mails (so much for my knowledge of French Wink)
But you're right: c'est magnifique Smiley.

How did you guess I was French? Canadian by the way.

But to answer your question properly: I speak Dutch Smiley, English, Spanish and German quite well, a little French (once I'm there, it tends to get better) and a few words of Italian. The thing is, I studied Latin and Greek, which makes it easier...

Just a wild guess, since the quote itself is in English... Wink

Checkin' up on me, eh? Wink
I was shocked to see that number, myself - probably had to get something out of my system...
And then, I joined Auntie's 24 Hour Diner: mostly lighter topics, and highly addicitive. Be warned! Wink
Un bacio.
Beautiful name, by the way - Dahlia.

Friends, I have some good news to share with you.
News that makes me wanna go:
YEE-HAH!!!
I've just been talking to A. (the one) on the phone for a long time, and it went very well.
I told her everything that was on my mind, how BBM had started it, what it has started, that whole emotional outburst and her part in it.
[FOr those who want to catch up on my story: http://davecullen.com/forum/index.php?topic=8579.75.]
And I cried again and it was good cause I felt connected with her.
Lots has been talked about that I don't even remember right now, but the most important thing is that I dared to be honest, real and true with her - and that she didn't reject me, she kind of had felt it coming. I asked for her to please forgive me for all the hurt I had caused her over all those years and she replied she'd already forgiven me and forgives me now, knowing where I'm coming from.

Now don't get me wrong, nothing is gonna change in the near future, I'm not gonna set up a threesome with her and her husband or something (she laughingly suggested that at one point). We're gonna let things sink in now for a bit, see how we both react to this conversation in the longer run, and in the meantime I'm gonna think in what way I want to progress (with her). Are we going to just discuss it the two of us, is she going to tell her husband now (remember: technically, there is nothing going on, and she loves him - but I am there, as well). What mode are we going to find for the future?
Am going to see my shrink in about two weeks, so will be able to discuss things with him. Actually, that'll be my first session - lots of work to be done!

I realise this is "just" a first step, and I'm not on cloud nine or anything, feet on the ground still, knowing there is (and maybe always be) a lot of shit still ahead of me, but people, for the first time in my life, I think I can say:
I'm proud of myself.

Phew.
THANK YOU, ALL.

Dave has an important announcement about the forum, which he asks all members to read:

http://davecullen.com/forum/index.php?topic=18085.msg602098#msg602098

We have set up a thread to discuss the situation. That discussion thread is linked from the post directly below the message from Dave. Follow the above link and you'll get to both.

Thanks

The administration has been working extremely hard to solve the slow down issue that has been plaguing the forum for some months now. It has been determined that to solve this we will have to change the host company of the forum. The new host server has now been contracted with by Dave as of today.

We are proceeding rapidly now and hope to have the conversion complete within a few weeks at the latest and hopefully much sooner. We will keep you (members) apprised. Please look for announcements in the Newsbox. Some changes will likely come up suddenly--that is the nature of computer conversions, so it is impossible to know before we test whether something will go flawlessly and take two hours, or uncover thorny issues that will take days. The testing process is being started. This will not affect the forum at this point.

So taking this into consideration, we don't want to give you timeframes that are unrealistic. As soon as we finish a stage, we'll proceed immediately to the next, and the exact changeover will likely come on very short notice to you (members). We will post this changeover time in the Newsbox as well as in the individual threads, and will give you as much lead time as we can manage. This will enable us to end the slowdown ASAP.

Thank you for your patience.
