YES!! This is their first time ever at the LL World Series.
At home they play on a rough homemade field and barefoot.
People are really rooting for them.

It was a great home run!!

I just remembered a story when my youngest was playing Little League.
I believe it was Manager's Pitch level. Josh was 7. They did not wear athletic cups for T-Ball.

(I think you may know where this is headed!) Wink  True story!

We were at the sports store getting pants, socks and such. We were in the athletic cup section (they have sizes) and Josh picked one up and asked what it was and then proceeded to put it over his nose and mouth like an oxygen mask. I cracked up and couldn't talk. When I wiped the tears out of my eyes and had caught my breath, I told him what it was and where it went. He dropped it like a hot potato and wiped at his mouth, and got upset with him for not telling him sooner. I told him that these were new and had not been worn, but suggested he not put it over his nose and mouth after HE got finished wearing it. I got this look..................... Roll Eyes Grin

I always wanted to have a T-shirt made for me if my kids ever played for a team called the Athletics. It would have said:

"I am an Athletics Supporter"! Roll Eyes Cheesy

They never did, for which they were eternally grateful!

ABC, 7 Central

San Francisco 49ers at Houston Texans

Finally, a team to root for!  How's the QB situation, Linda?  I haven't been keeping up lately, I'll have to check on them.........

Yes it is being shown on the local CBS station out here.

I will turn it on when the Little League game is over. The LL games go pretty fast.

To be honest, I'd have to look the QB situation up as well, Nancy, as I have not been following it closely.

^^^ well, it's early going yet.

Little League?  Can't say I'm a fan, but then, I haven't given it a chance.  I think my sports-watching repertoire is pretty well rounded out, though.

Yes, Nancy,  it is the Little League World Series this weekend and week.
I watch it every year. My boys grew up playing little league from T-Ball to Senior League and Rick coached them for 3 years, so I really love LL. It's sport before the kids get so caught up in the hype.

A team from Petaluma is playing as well as a team from San Antonio.

Well, there's definitely a lot to be said for kids playing for the love of the game, so I can understand why you like it.

CBS (Austin) is showing the Cowboys at San Diego Chargers tonight.  Is this more preseason than usual on TV?

I am not sure, Nancy. It seems there is more local coverage of the preseason games then there used to be.
