Oh-oh, the Tebow trade made be off. And here I thought that was just a dust bunny on my crystal ball....

you'd think they could get this shit right the first time...who's his agent, Daffy Duck?

In Tebow's contract is a $6.2 million salary advance, of which $1.2 million already has been paid by Denver, sources told Schefter. The difference of $5 million is still advanced against his future salary, and that burden would shift to the Jets in a trade. The Jets, sources said, believe the Broncos should owe Tebow that money.

Especially disappointed with Sean Payton.

Me, too...and it makes me wonder what happened...was he just so intent on winning the SB that he dumped his integrity overboard?  And the players must have known, I mean aside from the ones that were paid to force turnovers and hurt players on other teams intentionally...very damn sad...

I'm so very tired of people getting rewarded after breaking the law and/or rules...

From April 1 through the day after Super Bowl XLVII, Saints coach Sean Payton will be suspended from the NFL.  But he may find employment for the season with one of the league’s broadcast partners.

Judy Battista of the New York Times reports that FOX is considering hiring Payton.

Thanks Nancy! It's too expensive to attend the games, and on game day the traffic and the public transportation out here are NUTS. Before the game, crowded trains and buses and afterward, crowded and DRUNK buses and trains.

I do watch the occasional away game on TV.

A couple of us went to a Giants/Mets game on  a Friday afternoon, it was perfect.  Small crowd, got our pick of seats...and that's when they were in the running...won't say what year  Wink

try to get to a week day game this year, you'll love it.

Heh!  That is somewhat of a myth, I think.  Speaking for myself, I always arrive
early and only once left a game before it was over. It was a game in 1998 where
it started raining and kept being delayed. (What? Rain?) And it was nearly 1am
in the 8th inning and it started raining heavily again and the guy I got a ride there
with and had to get up really early finally said he just had to leave.  I have
pics from that night as it was something different for us here!  A rain delay!

Hi Nancy,

Yeah, I know, I've been busy with real life, LOL.

Lots of chatter about Utley's knees,Ryan's achilles tendon, Polly's shoulder or elbow.  Manuel is concentrating on organizing the rotation for opening day, but there is a lot of concern in Philly now.  No one dares to say the Fightins' will go all the way, but we still have 3 Aces and Worley looks good for maybe 5th place.

News flash -- Jamie Moyer, late of the Phillies, is now with Colorado as a fifth starter.

Roy Oswalt, late with the Phils as a 4th Ace, is floating somewhere in baseball land --  anyone hear anything?

Phillies beat Pitt -- 1-0.  Great start for opening day at Pittsburg.  Halliday pitched 8 innings; Papelbon closesd. Next game is Saturday night in Philly

Take me out to the ballgame
Take me out with the crowd
Buy me some peanuts and crackerjacks
I don't care if I ever get back
For it's root, root, root for the Phillies
If they don't win it's a shame
'Cause it's one, two, three strikes you're out
At the Phillies' game

(with apologies to whoever wrote this old fav)
