Yay!!! - he's a real fighter though.  I've never been very keen on him but he's grown up a lot, and it would be wonderful to have a Wimbledon winner.

Ok, the Giants lost to the Nats but are still in 2nd.

But the Phillies - they're playing the Mets today and are 12.5 games out.  What's going on???

I'm for Roger in this one...

WIMBLEDON, England (AP) — Novak Djokovic closed out his latest Wimbledon win with an ace, then threw a fist and let loose a primal scream.

Bring on Roger Federer. They'll meet at Wimbledon for the first time Friday.

Federer earned a record 32nd Grand Slam semifinal berth and moved closer to a record-tying seventh Wimbledon title when he beat Mikhail Youzhny on Wednesday, 6-1, 6-2, 6-2. Minutes later on an adjacent court, defending champion Djokovic finished off Florian Mayer, 6-4, 6-1, 6-4.

Federer has a 14-12 edge against Djokovic, who is ranked No. 1. They've met in Grand Slam semifinals five times in the past two years, with Djokovic winning four of those matches.

They've never played each other on grass.

If I weren't British I'd probably root for Roger, but as it is I'll be all for Andy.

I hope they play a good game, and don't embarrass the city/club...it seems like they've just lost the will to win this year...   Sad

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Philadelphia Phillies will send three players to this year’s All-Star Game in Kansas City.

Carlos Ruiz, Cole Hamels and Jonathon Papelbon will help make up the National League roster at the Midsummer Classic on July 10th.

As for the Giants, the fans are stuffing the ballot box...

Pablo Sandoval does not deserve to be the starting third baseman for the National League in the 2012 MLB All-Star Game, and Freddy Sanchez certainly does not belong in the top five in NL voting for second basemen.

The epicenter of baseball fandom has been taken over by San Francisco Giants fans, and this past week only proves that even more.

The Giants will be sending Matt Cain, Buster Posey, Melky Cabrera and Sandoval to the All-Star Game next week.  Posey, Cabrera and Sandoval will all be starting, and Cain still has the possibility to do the same.

Freddy Sanchez has not played in an MLB game in over a year yet received the fourth most votes of any second baseman in the National League.

For that, Giants fans should be embarrassed, but it just goes to show the strength of this fanbase and the team at the moment.  Other ball clubs' fans had the opportunity to do the same, yet San Francisco's fans stand out for caring too much about their team.

SF has four All Stars this year, Buster Posey (13 months after his terrible injury), Melky Cabrera, Pablo Sandoval, (which I don't agree with), and Matt Cain.

I'm sure he's not the only one in Philly voicing his opinion...
