Thanks for the links, BCJ ------ it is a serious issue, as iconic props for all the other historic films seem to get preserved.  I would hope someone else would start a thread, though.  Someone who knows more people than I do. Also, I think if one of the earlier forum members did that, it would be taken more seriously.  I lack gravitas around here  Cheesy.

No, you don't, Tony.

I just want to thank the editorial staff of the Daily Sheet for including my article. You are very kind for sharing it here, where it all started four and a half years ago. Who'd a thunk, huh?

The item featured in Question of the Week is a molinillo. It is used to beat hot chocolate into a delicious froth. I have one, bought in the market in Oaxaca, Mexico. As to the origin, opinions differ. Various stories have it invented by the Maya centuries ago, by the Spanish colonists in the late 1700s, or by the French again in the late 1700s after Europeans developed a taste for the New World treat. Don't know who is right. I'd vote for the Spanish colonists.

Yes!  Looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove our daily sheet!

I think the answer to this week's question about the shortest movie title nominated for a Best Picture Oscar is Z.

Great movie from 1969!

Part of the article on Wahlberg in TDS --  8/24/10:
"It's too bad a film about two men in love wasn't good enough, but we're not complaining: if Wahlberg was in Brokeback, it probably would have been excruciating, even if he once posed with Crisco."

      Answer from kathy today:

To TDS:  Your  article on this no-talent hypocritical self-righteous jerk Wahlberg (whom I've more than disliked immensely way before his (and his "priest's") denigrating comments re BBM is so right on target!
Well, this is how low he's sunk to, posing for a pic like this (in a film re a porn "star").  All he's good for.  HA!!

kathy
p.s.  how's your priest's advice now, you self-righteous no-talent jerk?
