Charlotte sure caught the spirit of our visit to Brokeback country.
Just will add that a black bear was fooling around not far from the FNIT.
We found his startle point quick!

And finally, the rainbow.  Heaven's belt buckle!

There are definitely friendlier bears to come upon.

The ones who enjoy slightly sticky fur.

R&R's description of the disintegrating stairs at the reunion scene site......wasn't that being discussed on another thread?  I've tried to find it but so far can't.

If the stairs are still passable, but have wood rot, I don't understand why the owner just doesn't use a chemical anti-fungal (Behr has a fine product), and then paint and/or seal?  Hiring that out would cost less than 1K, mostly labor.
I do see the point of raising money to dis-assemble it and remove it to safety, but surely it would be cheaper to store it somewhere on the West Coast?  And also, isn't the site itself where it should be?
I wish someone would actually start a thread, post photocaps of the stairs from the film and photos from forum members, along with discussions of what might be done.  Surely 1,000 Brokies, contributing $5-$20, could make a difference.

You can always start a thread here:

We were discussing it in the BBM General Discussion topic:

Thanks for the links, BCJ ------ it is a serious issue, as iconic props for all the other historic films seem to get preserved.  I would hope someone else would start a thread, though.  Someone who knows more people than I do. Also, I think if one of the earlier forum members did that, it would be taken more seriously.  I lack gravitas around here  Cheesy.

You do NOT lack anything around here. You've been here for almost 3 years. You might think you don't know a lot of people here, but a lot of people know who you are.

I've started plenty of threads and projects that fizzle due to lack of interest. Longevity guarantees nothing.

If you start a topic, send PM's to people you think might be interested and ask for help. I did that a few years ago when I wanted to have a gathering in Bay City and the results were good.

I've been looking for this play one of you mentioned called "Fred! Fred!" but I can't find it anywhere on the internet.  Is that for real?

Dear Fletcher,

It was me who wrote that, and yes, it is a joke.  Although I have made some notes...
