Re:  TDS question.  I'm pretty sure public appearance means some kind of planned or public event
or gathering, something official, a public appearance instead of an appearance in public, so to speak,
so I don't think going to work qualifies, besides the clue is "MD" which I can't figure out how it
relates to that...  A doctor's appointment?  LOL!

Lyle, I thought the same thing too, so I'd guess her last public appearance (like Lucy's last public appearance--how's that for a TDS question?) was singing to JFK.  Now tell me where the MD comes in.
