thanks, kj, for your kind words about our little BBM newsletter! it's a lot of fun putting them together for the forum members.

LOL. i have to chuckle at your "daily" remark. we went from daily (not including weekends, but still grueling) to twice a week, then it finally went down to once a week, where it looks like it will stay indefinitely, unless we suddenly go bi. Wink

despite being a weekly, i doubt we'll change the title over to TWS, even though that's pretty close to TWIST. (what about The Weekly Ledger?)

I put a comment in the memorabilia thread, regarding wardrobe memorabilia used in the film, in TDS last week. Any comments would be appreciated.

"In Europe after World War II, General Dwight D. Eisenhower told his clerk, WAC Sergeant Johnnie Phelps, that he'd heard rumors there were lesbians in the WAC battalion and asked her to prepare a list naming them so he could discharge them. Phelps bravely told Eisenhower that she'd do as he asked, but that her name would be at the top of the list. A more junior clerk then spoke up saying, "Begging the general's pardon, but my name will be above Sgt. Phelps' because I'll be typing it."Realizing he'd be getting rid of most of his file clerks, typists, and a large share of his headquarters' support staff, Eisenhower withdrew the order."

Take a look at the jacket that is for sale on that site for $ 4.100.00  Shocked:

http://www.leadingmencollection.com/catalog/item/6732853/6322273.htm

Just a quick look at the pockets tells us that this isn't even the same design as the jacket that Heath wore.

The buttons are also totally different than the original. I have a full front photo of Heath wearing that jacket, and the one on the LeadingMenCollection site is very different. The real jacket has 5 buttons, the fake one has 4.

I do not trust that company.

This is the jacket Heath was wearing in the poster shot.

BUT I MIGHT BE MISTAKEN  Shocked

The company is saying that the top part of the jacket is different than the rest of the jacket - that the poster shot is a composite photo.

I'm trying to verify that with the photographer.

Here's the area in question, the collar/shoulder area.

The photo I'm using for comparison was taken about the same time as the poster photo.

LMC is saying that their jacket was used to touch up the area around the face.
