The Patriot was on TV yesterday and I couldn't keep myself from watching only I quit before Heath was killed off.  He was so young and fresh and full of life then.  When I see the Australian painting of him it haunts me.  He just looks like such a tortured soul in it, there is such a difference between between the movie and the painting. Cry

I actually really liked The Patriot, funny looking the stills now - all I see is Matilda!  Undecided

I remember watching a Biography of Heath, after he'd died, and there was a picture of him from that telly programme he did when he was about 16, where he played the gay cyclist, I think it was. Anyway, there was the still picture of the cast, and when I first saw it, it was just uncanny, how like Matilda he looked. She'd have been about 4 when I saw this programme and it was just ... it was Matilda's face, the expression, the eyes, of course, cos she has his eyes.
I remember when I saw it, thinking there'll be a picture of Matilda out there somewhere that IS this picture of Heath (if you see what I mean). It was just uncanny.

I've always said, in The Patriot, that Heath looked positively angelic, facially.  Smiley

I often wonder how Michelle feels when she looks at Matilda as she is almost Heath reincarnate. His looks...... his mannerisms, everything.
Matilda is obviously a source of great comfort and delight to Michelle .Michelle obviously adored Heath , you could tell in so many pictures of them together what happened towards the end we will probably never know but she was broken hearted at news of his death.....can such a living reminder stop you moving on ? I know lots of people do.....but everyone is different. My mom died at the age of 35 when I was 10 years old, my dad was 39. Years later when we asked why he never remarried he pointed at me and said " I look at you....and I see her(my mom)". He could never move on.

she was seen with that cinematographer last year (wasn't it last year)   and now Jason Segel.    I guess we'll see if Michelle is moving on or just enjoying someone's company.

I read somewhere that her relationship with Cary Fukunaga fizzled because of her not being able to get over Heath's death.  It would have to be hard.  Who could compare to Heath?  And then, in her house she still has the family pictures and everything.  I also read that even Heath's family wants her to find someone new.  I wish they would come to Brooklyn and help Michelle pack Heath's things away and help her figure out how to still keep things available for Matilda.  Michelle will never be able to move on if she can't let go of Heath.  It's been a long time but she needs to let him go.  I sooooo want her to be able to move on and find happiness.  She's so young.  Yep, here I go again.

I wish Michelle and Matilda nothing but happiness, if they are happy I am happy, this is the 2nd or 3rd sighting of Michelle and Jason, although no pics yet, Maybe Busy set them up or introduced them as her and Jason were on 'Freaks and Geeks' together
