James Franco and Anne Hathaway are headed for the Oscars. The “127 Hours” star and the “Love and Other Drugs” star will co-host the 83rd Annual Academy Awards, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

I just read this...very unique choice. Not sure though that a lot of people (namely my mother and her generation) have heard of Anne or James.

Nothing like adding insult to injury AMPAS!

Why wasn't Brokeback Mountain listed as one of her films?

I think she was in Brokeback Mountain, too, ampas, the film that won some oscars, unlike
the other ones you listed.

Excellent 35 min. interview with Anne by Terri Gross on NPR today:

http://www.npr.org/2010/11/24/131566903/anne-hathaway-from-princesses-to-passion

They talk about BBM and the telephone scene with Ennis. Terri Gross asks how Jack really died, and her answer is interesting.

The news said the Oscar format is changing because they are losing the younger crowd.  Anne is an excellent choice, but, am afraid I will have to look up James Franco on Imdb.

I think Hathaway is a competent actress and I wish I enjoyed looking at her.  But I don't; somehow her face has become too much of a muchness.  Beautiful, but...   I thought her makeup as the White Queen captured that quality quite well.

Thanks, Kim ---- I did do a quick look-up on Imdb, and that role wasn't prominent, so I missed it.  Will go back to see what else I missed.
Also, I hope the chemistry between him and Anne is good.   That's gonna be make or break.

A Celebration of Indie Film, Uninhibited

Quote
Anne Hathaway, presenting an award to James Schamus, the chief executive of Focus Features, thanked him for changing her career path via “Brokeback Mountain.” “Don’t get me wrong, I loved playing princesses,” she added, before praising Mr. Schamus for running a studio with spine, although she used a different, rather unprincessy anatomical word

Anne Hathaway to Play a Lesbian on Glee!

Anne Hathaway is heading to McKinley High!

The actress is set to star on Fox's song and dance hit Glee as Kurt's lesbian aunt, the show's executive producer, Brad Falchuck, confirms to UsMagazine.com.

"It was her idea, and [with] someone like her, it's sort of hard to say no!" Falchuck told Us at Sunday's Fox Golden Globes after party. "We don't generally get excited about guest stars just for the sake of guest stars, but when you have someone like Gwyneth [Paltrow] or Anne Hathaway, where you can say 'They are amazing,'...they are big gifts to you."
