The official "Thank You" thread

As I look at my time here (almost 15 days-daym) it occured to me that I want to say some "Thank You's".  Anyone else who feels like they want to join me, feel free!

Dave Cullen:  Thanks for giving us this forum!  We have a great family here.  We are all very different people, with different views, but the same love for this movie, and you provided us a great place to get together, meet, have fun, and become friends.

"The Mod Squad":   Parenthetical Greg, Melisande, Jack, mary, jim..., exlogcabin, Bobbie, Caroline, peteinportland, lynn, desperadum, killersmom, Carissa, brokebackLJ.  Thanks for keeping the place organized, and fun!  I appreciate all the hard work you ladies and gents do.

The NYC Brokeaholics.  We met up, and had fun.  Looking forward to doing it again!  Let's not wait too long, and we have new NYC members who would like to join us this time.

To the "artistic" members who have posted up their artwork, home made videos, photo collages of us, and all the rest.  You make this site even more personal than it already is.

To jack, Ross:Broken, Nick_F, Bryanlm62, killersMom, and Painted Shoes,  for the great convos via private message!  You guys have all made me laugh or smile, and I appreciate it!

First, thanks to "Shavin' Dave" Cullen for establishing this forum.  I'm sure you have no idea it would turn into this entity that it is.  This forum has become so much more than just a blog-and-reply.  I can't express what this place means to me.  Not just for the catharsis of working through the emotions this movie generated in me, but also to work through my personal issues. 

And thanks to the spectacular "Team Cullen":  Meli, (Greg), Carissa, Bobbie, Lynn, Pete, exlogcabin, jim, caroline, desperadum, Auntie, and brokeback LJ.  Without their perseverence and persistence, we wouldn't have the non-hostile environment here that we do.

Thanks to Jack and Wayne.  Just because.  You two were really active when I stumbled in here and you pushed me in the right direction when I needed it and made me laugh when I needed it.  Jack, you kicked me up the backside when I needed it.  Wayne, you've made me laugh and cry and you've made me gay for Jake.    to you both.

OK, here is a nowhere near complete list of the many "thank you's" that I owe to you wonderful folks here.  But first...Nick, it has been bugging me ever since I saw your new avatar...the shaving pic.  It reminded me of someone and I couldn't figure out who.  Just came to me.  Robert Downey, Jr!  You look sooo much like him in that shot...and believe me that this is the highest compliment.  I've always thought he is a BABE, and so, brother, are you.  Yum.

Anyway, to the thank you's:

  Just saw this, and should have thought of it earlier!

  THANKS! to everyone here, for letting me <us> get things off my <our> chest without being judgemental or hostile.  I truly wish I had found this place 2 months earlier when I was REALLY in the midst of the 'deep blue funk'.

  It's wonderful being able to have deep (sometimes depressing and emotional) discussions in one forum - and then hop over to another and be able to let loose with a few zingers (and I'll apologise - my humor can sometimes be a little 'randy' which is why I usually try to focus it on myself)

  Huge props to Dave for doing this!

  To all the mean and nasty mods!  It's a thankless job - you guys are wonderful!

  To everyone that read my posts, left comments (Even if you DID disagree with me - which BTW - if you did disagree, well YOU ARE WRONG!) left PM's and best of all - set themselves up for 'zingers'

I've been reading these forums for awhile now, only posting once or twice.

I just want to thank Dave and everyone involved in keeping these forums running smoothly and full of amazing, thought-inducing discussions (so thank you too, to the posters!).

Yesterday I posted my thanks for the amazing Variety ad campaign, but I also wanted to express my appreciation for the existence of these forums and this site.
