Two new primetime offerrings from FOX tonight, both dating shows to a certain degree.
Take Me Out or something like that has a panel of 30 women who listen to male contestants and decide if they are interested in going on a date with him. Somewhat similar to The Dating Game from way back when. Hosted by George Lopez.
The Choice has 4 "celebrity" bachelors sitting in the reversable chairs borrowed from The Voice. With their backs turned, they have to decide whether or not they are interested in a date with the woman on stage who entices them with comments about herself and what her ideal date would be like. Each bachelor chooses a "team" of 3 women and then narrows it down to just one with whom he is going to go out and report back the next week. Hosted by Kat Someone who I think was on So/Dance or some other show.
It beats the home shopping network.
not really...

I also want to see more of Petite Mort, the ballet they are shown rehearsing. It looks really fascinating, sexy and exciting (it involves swords at some point). I wish Pennsylvania Ballet would do that, or something like it. It looks more interesting than some stuff I've seen them do.  Roll Eyes

petit mort is the french colloquial for the moment of orgasm, the little death.

Anyone have any thoughts on the Tony Awards?
neil patrick harris was amazing again, although he is beginning to outshine the show he is presenting, not a great idea, imho.  the book of mormon opening was particularly well executed, both mocking and respecting lds tradition simultaneously.

the first four faces seen were gay or gay supporting.  it remains the gayest show on tv.

Not sure how some of those cooks got chosen for Hell's Kitchen.  The guy that got kicked off last night couldn't cook a piece of fish, he went through so many tries that he ran out.  Of fish.  He just kept dumping pans of fish in the trash.  Ramsey asked him where the order for 2 was, he had to tell him that he ran out of fish.  I can't cook fish, maybe I could make it to the show...

I cook salmon on my George. I doubt it would please Chef R. Speaking of whom, did you see the clip of him playing in some celebrity soccer match and get smashed down by some pro player? The only way it would have been better is if it had been Jamie Oliver getting hit instead!

I though AGT was a little off last night. Wasn't overwhelmed by any of the acts.
The Miami dance team was better... actually, MUCH better... last year. Thought the guy said he'd brought a smaller team this year... guess he meant in size because it sure wasn't in numbers.
And 10 bike riders on the same stage at the same time. Wow! Only other place you'll ever see that is in any park in the US.
Then there was the water skiing squirrel. In Vegas he'll do a back flip into the water and then synchronise swim with her frog. The best part of the act was him peeing on Nick Cannon

I don't think American Ninja is fair in their try outs. In some cities, they go at night or into the night, which completely changes the course (making it more difficult.) And the Pacific NW trials were in... California? Don't think so. Next week, I think the guy said the southern states were going to be on... Oklahoma, Texas, etc. When did the South leave Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama,...?

Love in the Wild continues to be fun. It's sort of a Bachelor on Survivor. This season they got rid of the least nice guy right off the bat. And the woman who left was pretty unimpressive as well.

And speaking of the Bachelor, I;m not watching this season of The Bachelorette because I don't care for the woman... she's already had TWO bites of that apple and choked on both. But here's the thing... the first tow times, she didn't even want to introduce the Bachelor to her daughter. Made it a HUGE deal. This time, the kid is part of the show...?

Just heard on Anderson that Mathew Perry is doing 8 episodes of The Good Wife. (Of course, he also has a possible comedy starting in the fall... "possible" as to comedy, not start time.) I did not watch Friends, but I have become sort of a Mathew Perry fan... at least I don't automatically change channels when he's on a show. I hope The Good Wife gets a good time slot (for me) next year because I'd like to watch it again and MP joining the cast just adds to its appeal.
