The Voice is down to some passably good singers, about 5 out of the 8.  One of them is NOT Chris Mann, the opera singer from Kansas.  First, he mangled "Bridge Over Troubled Waters".  Tonight, he destroyed "Ave Maria".  Kiri Te Kanawa, he's not.
Katrina is great, but she picked a lackluster song.  My vote goes to Carson Daly.

Oh, and I believe the picture of the cat on Cee Lo's shirt signifies something amiss.  Maybe he ate him?  I mean, why only tapes, and photos, and the real cat vanished?

the 2nd series of Episodes starts here on the 11th, I cant wait, Matt Le Blanc has been over here for about 10 days, on most of the tv shows and radio shows in the UK, I loved the first series and I am so glad it got commissioned for a 2nd, very clever idea for a show and I am glad it worked, hes such a nice guy, even more gorgeous now hes older and got a really sexy voice, love Stephen Mangan and Tamsin Greig in the show to as Sean and Beverly, I think it starts a few days afterwards in the states, its nice to get shows first for a change! although thats because the show is a part BBC production, Matt said in an interview with the radio times thats out today that he loves working for the BBC and for one of americas biggest tv stars to say that is amazing and great for the BBC!!!

After happily married couple Sean and Beverly Lincoln win yet another BAFTA Award for their successful British sitcom, Lyman’s Boys, they are persuaded to move to Hollywood and remake their series for an American audience. They are forced to cast Matt LeBlanc, who not only damages their reputation and show, but also their marriage.

The american tv company fire most of the british cast including lead actor richard griffiths and replace him with Matt! love both of them but you couldnt get more different actors if you tried Grin

Watching tv is getting more and more frustrating with the nearly hysterical rush for anything of import to interrupt regular viewing.  Tornados, I can understand.  Also hurricanes.  But in metropolitan areas, they ought not to bother us, past scroll lines, on weather in the far boondocks.
The NBC affiliate has been interrupting for special reports here.  There is a thunderstorm in Cleopus.  I have lived here all my life and never heard of this place.  Suffolk, also, some storms, and I do agree they need to get the horsies into the barns.  But a scroll would be just fine.
Now, it's massive lightning, over the Great Dismal Swamp.  Seriously, this has gotten out of hand.

Oh, yeah.  I wonder if the tv schedule is gonna be bumped by the Prez's speech to the nation.  In which he will most likely note:  he is in Afghanistan.  Thanks, but we can get that from CNN.
They are overdoing these interrruptions.  And I fear for the integrity of the full episode of The Voice  Angry.  Keep it up and I will vote for Ron Paul.

re: MISSING

All I can say is that I called THAT one a while back.  I love this show!

re: THE VOICE

I haven't been watching this show but I just caught the opening and WTF?  do Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green think they are Royalty or something? Way too much attitude, what a joke.  "It's so very exciting and also very sad"  " So, you know, I'm really uncomfortable, you know , and you know, it's the nature of the competition".

Re: The Voice,  Gil, I didn't see that attitude, but then, I miss a lot of stuff.

Highlight of the evening, for me, Cyndi Lauper and last season's Beverly McFarlan doing a wild duet.  I wish they'd get Annie Lennox on the show as a guest.  She's my hero  Smiley !

The Kansas opera guy survived to mangle another song, next week.  He'll probably do another of my favorites, "Hallelujah", in faux Italian accents.  I think Doodler stayed up all night voting for him, just to be  Doodler-ish.

Cee Lo's two were the worst to go up against each other.  Both were on line for winning the season, IMO.

Well, news, real news, from CBS : a new reality show, later this month, Dogs in the City  !!!!!  Yay !!!!!

Unless they screw it up.  I know there'll be the odd poodle, and, God help me, a probable pomeranian.  I can live with that. But am hoping so very much for a Norwegian Elkhound, and all kinds of Labradors  Smiley.

Which brings up the question.....anything about this show goes here, right?  Not on the pet thread?  It is, after all, a tv show.

TV discussion should go here.  You may want to put a link to the show in the Pet thread though, in case any pet lovers are interested.
