THE MIDDLE is worth watching.

...watching...

Unless you watch Big Bang Theory, Wipeout, Person of Interest and The Mentalist...in that order!

Not to beat a dead horse, but there is no such thing as a funny comedy on tv this year. Or last year. Or the one before that. Or....

I'd rather spend the time training my dust bunnies to twitch their noses.

Central Time states all start at 7pm all year long.  When I was growing up the
ads would always say, "8 pm, 7 Central" etc.

AZ is on Mountain Time, along with CO, ID, MT, NM, UT, WY.

States on Central Time are AL, AR, IA, IL, KS, LA, MN, MO, MS, NE, ND, OK, SD, the western part of TN, TX, WI.

And it is strange that Mountain Time primetime starts at 7 because that is 6 Pacific and two hours before it starts there. And it is 8 Central/9 Eastern or one hour AFTER it starts there. So there are 3 separate primetime zones, which is rather dumb.  I suppose there'd be hell to pay if Mountain Time started at 8 and Pacific started at 7.

Funny....I don't even know what time my State belongs too!  Because, I guess, I live here but I try to pretend that I don't!  Ha!  Right now we are on Pacific time and my DVR is messed up!

No dear, you are not on Pacific time. You are on Mountain Daylight Time... unless, of course, you set you clock BACK an hour, but even then you wouldn't be on Pacific time because they set their clocks UP an hour. Setting YOUR clock ahead, if the Central states did not change theirs at all, would put you on Central time, but since the majority of them DID move forward.... There are a few mainland states that don't change... Colorado, for instance. You could move there; it's not that far from Arizona, just a century or two.

Well dear, right now our time is the same as Pacific time.....even though we are not in the Pacific time zone (because they set their clocks ahead an hour and we did nothing!)  And our TV schedule has only changed for cable shows that run on Pacific time.  Jon Stewart on the comedy channel is now on at 11pm.....two days ago it was on at midnight! (or it is the other way around! LOL! Very confusing!)  But I actually do know what time it is most of the time!

Actually, you are still on Mountain Standard Time and the Pacific is on Pacific Daylight Time but at THIS time of the year it's 6 of one and half a dozen of the other.

Desparate Housewives
They killed off my favorite character last night. Mike delFino was shot by the loan shark he beat the crap up the previous week. Now we've got to put up with Susan's weeping and wailing for the next 5 weeks. By then, I'll be glad the show is cancelled.

The show has had it's ups and downs, but this season has been great.

You can call me Eb for short.

Come on, Lyle, humor... like art... is in the eyes of the beholder. And I'm just not beholding any. The juvenille stuff on tv these days is dull. If there is more than two smiles... not even chuckles, just smiles... from one commercial to the next, the show gets nominated for an emmy. Actually, many of the commercials are funnier than the comedies they're on. The Brits do it better, although because of  cultural differences, I probably laugh in some inappropriate places.
