I'm watching The Mentalist and the Queen V is the guest star. I'm surprised she isn't in more shows.

I take it she was on "V" and you are not referring to the singer Queen V?

Did The Mentalist.  And that particular antiseptic female, on tonight, BTW, has all the sex appeal of a faux Corinthian column.

^^^^ Totally agree, Tony.
Turned it off.

Sheesh!

You guys are sure prickly lately.  Or crabby.

Or maybe you didn't see the terrific episode of The Mentalist she was on
last season and didn't find the interest in this one because of that.  I don't
know, but I disagree with your assessments of her and last night's episode.
I thought it was a good show.

And the actress IS on more shows.  Not only this sequel to last year's
Mentalist, and possibly future appearances since the episode ending might
allude to it, but she's on an episode of The Good Wife in two weeks and
is currently shooting a film titled "Old Days."  She also is a regular on the
series Homeland.

I also liked Person of Interest a lot last night and The Big Bang Theory had
me laughing out loud and Wipeout was some nice bubblegum.

So good night and big balls.

Nope, neither one. The story line just did not appeal to me, so I turned it off.
Different things appeal to different people.

At least I did not dismiss it out of hand, and gave it some chance.

Re The Mentalist...
I don't normally watch the show, but had seen previews and could tell it was a continuation of a previous story, so....
I like the actress. A LOT. However I haven't seen her on anything other than V. I no longer watch The Good Wife... but will try to catch her episode if the conflict isn't too great. It's going to Sundays? Pam Am is off after this week and I don't see me watching Good Christian Bitches which is replacing it.

Well, Linda explained she didn't like the plot-line [The Mentalist] and over-all features, but, yeah, in my case, I may have been a little crabby.  Thing is, Lyle, that actress just gives me the creeps.  If she was just that way on V, well, cool.  But she's always that sleek-chiseled, over-waxed, 22nd century Barbie doll, and, for me, is anti-sexual.  I believe she needs to be on Grimm.  As an appetizer for one of the Blutbads.

As for Wipeout, again, am glad you are willing to admit diverse tastes.  There just is no reason why we should only watch the serious, or the sedate, or the elitist stuff.

i don't think there is any suggestion that cooper's orientation is a secret, at least to those who count.  tang kind of suggests as much when she indicated word was he would not be a harassment problem.  i think the suggestion is that cooper would rather not ever have it come up as an issue.  it is not in his nature, nor would it be good on the streets for him to be "out and proud" flying the flag, so  to speak.  also, he is of a generation that simply didn't discuss such private matters.  in 3 seasons we have never seen him attempt to create a "beard" real or imaginary.  i think at some point we will find out just how widespread is his orientation, but i think he is out to his unit and his boss.

You might be right. I'd kinda assumed that some of the brass "knew" about Cooper, one way or the other, but it was tacit and nobody ever raised the subject with him.  OTOH, I think there'd be a very mixed reaction among his co-workers.  Some would probably be nasty - these days, I suspect that SWAT teams huddle for a moment of group prayer before they even leave their premises!  Happily, he isn't so closeted he leads a celibate life.  (Remember that brief scene in Season 1 when he was standing in his yard watching distant fireworks with a friend?)

Anyhow, the snippets from next week's show seemed to show a wounded Cooper.  This may lead to some revelations.  But who knows...  One reason I love this show is that it does surprise me sometimes.  Like the boozer cop who's living the AA life but is still an a--hole.  I mean, that's probably totally realistic, but maybe Insensitive.

Well, if they change the title from Good Christian Bitches to Good, Progressive Catholics, who are still Occasionally Jerks......I'll watch  Smiley.  But, I'd probably be an audience of one.

TOTALLY realistic, trust me.  we call it the "pink cloud".  they are frequently admonished to carry a pink parachute as a reminder that sooner or later, especially when they get into working the 12 steps, it won't be all that purty.

Saw the first episode, April, and went bonkers over the one who broke her wrist.  It was said at least three times, how to safely fall, and she wasn't the only one who refused to hear. It was all so Darwinian, and I knew...... I was missing Whitney.  Shorter answer: no  Cheesy.

Also, Celebrity Apprentice......conflicts with Downton Abbey, on Sundays.  It's very deflating to see oneself paralyzed over weighing the choice of which to watch. Has it come to this  Tongue ?  No wild parties or travel, or assignations?  Just, which to watch?  Am putting a bag over my head, and hiding.
