in my local city of Norwich (Norfolk)

Norwich
Norfolk
So which is it?
In the US, the Norwich has prick ears while the Norfolk has drop ears.
You remember the difference by wich as in witch and a witch's hat is pointed.

I often visit Norwich, Jane. My youngest daughter lives in Suffolk and we both got trains and met at Norwich station and did our Christmas shopping last year.

Shopping, lunch in the Belgian Monk.........oh yes!

Also over here the Norwich terrier's ears are pricked like our cathedral's spire!  That's the way I remember it anyway.

Now not many people have survived a whole day's shopping with me, even those decades younger, funds always run out before stamina.  Belgian Monk, yes lovely, extra large portions and a fantastic range of fruit beers.  Sorry going off topic!

....Norwich is supposed to be the finest example of Medieval history in England......
Jane, I guess Michael Wood will get around to that, and I'd enjoy watching.  He does seem to jump around a lot, so, no telling if he'll pick up from the plague and go roaming in that particular time.
Maybe there was something in Cally's house that disoriented him  Cheesy.  As far as staying organized and linear, he's somewhat of a flop.

Our house did NOT induce jumping around Shocked Grin.  Just take a look at my children - quite unsaltatory! (?)

Actually he was much calmer in real life.  I don't think he stayed there very long though - he got married and moved to the country.  He came to the next town to here to give a talk on Alexander (and signed our book Smiley) That was some time ago too.

Finally saw Dogs In the City last night, it wasn't bad... but I think we are just too use to Ceaser.  Who knows maybe this guy will grow on us.

I will keep watching, I am trying to prepare myself for another dog.  I will be babysitting my sons bulldog for a few weeks in August, so that will either make me want another dog, or send me running the other way.

I seldom watch Person of Interest and every time I tune it, it's an episode I've already seen, like tonight. Which I think was one of their first.

I can hardly wait for Big Brother to start.

Oh, and there's a new reality show starting soon that pits "stars" against military personnel.  One of the "stars" is Todd Palin....

This is madness, Doodler !  I can't recall your ever outting yourself so flagrantly.  Usually you've disclaimed any knowledge of Rachel or Evil Dick, et al.  But, if you're serious, and there's even one more fan, it might be leverage for a separate thread.  We wouldn't have to annoy the regulars here  Smiley........
Also, I see that, as of tonight, they're advertising many of the houseguests.  Will go to CBS forum, tomorrow, to see if any of them are promising.
