AGT had a few decent acts tonight but they put through a few more than I would have. The 6 year old "tap" dancer for instance. I may be old fashioned but I still expect tap dancing to involve taps. (The old ladies had taps on THEIR shoes.) The kid stomped around the stage  but she was cute so she's going to Vegas. I would rather the pig who did nothing went. And I'm talking about the actual pig not the fast talking "rapper" with the Howard crush. Two of the dance crews were good and it looked like the male singer was... the one they skipped over. Vegas is now going to have several stand up comedians... are there any sit down comedians? If you missed it tonight, I think it is repeated tomorrow. AGT is on but it's a rerun.

I'm always ready to get on with the actual competition a week or so before they run out of auditions.

damn, i actually watched 10 minutes of that gladiator thing last night.  shows how desperate non-cable viewers are to keep the tv on...

And the Glass House!  Can't believe I'm admitting to this one...I swear I will not watch it again...well, maybe just to see if Alex was voted off.  I never wanted to use those words in that order in a sentence!

I'm getting fed up (a pun!) with Hell's Kitchen and Master Chef.   I can't stand the bleeping sound, and between all of them, they say fuck about every 3 words...sad that they can't express themselves w/o it.

I like American Ninja Warrior... but as with almost all competitor tv, I wish they'd skip 90% of the prelims and get straight to the competition. I don't need to see half the field screwing up, as in the case of the last 4-5 weeks of Ninja. And at least half of the ones going to the finals did NOT complete their runs... they just got farther in the least amount of time before splatting. In my opinion, they should be out.

And this show is yet another one that has its finals in... Vegas? Is there no other city in the US that allows tv cameras?

It was nice to see Flo Jo's daughter.......and her Dad.  She was good, not great, but pretty good.

I thought the pig (not the rapper) was adorable!

Yeah, too bad she didn't have any talent (the pig not Flo Jo's daughter.) She could benefit from some professional training (Flo Jo's daughter not the pig.)

Dogs in the City
I may have to stop watching this show. The general stupidy of people with pets is something I'm already familiar with and I don't need a weekly tv program to reinforce that. Not only are the owners in general run of the mill idiots, the breeders who place pups with them are even less appealing mentally.

So the kid says "We can't smack her and smack her and push her" like it is big news! Which it is. Even to the parents... especially the assinine dad... who let the girl chase the dog around with a stroller and thought it was okay for the dog to chew on the kids. Gee, I don't remember Timmy and Lassie having these problems. (Collies must be better with kids... or maybe it's over breeding that has ruined dogs.)

Dogs in the City, yet more.  There is that pattern of the owners playing out their needs onto their dogs.  Why am I fairly sure cats wouldn't fall for that  Cheesy ?  Still, even though the format is the same, more or less, the doggies are different each week, and it's still fun for me.  Did not like the WhackaDoodle: too much fur, and too much multi-orbital gnawing.
I  wish they'd do some whippets, and boxers. Snarling chihuahua types get a little stale.

Just saw Monroe as an activist priest on an old Closer. He always looks the same!

Well, I don't know where I've been on Sunday nights instead of watching Zen, but I finally caught it for the first time last week.

Am I the last to know?  Is there a new season?  zap2it has tonights episode as being from season 4...so guess I've missed quite a bit and will have to catch up on dvd...

I've only seen two seasons of zen... 3 episodes each (I think.) It's terrific. But according to the Masterpiece schedule, there aren't any more yet.

There are 3-4 more of Inspector Morse and Wallander on the schedule.

Nothing for me on tv.  Nothing.  For the second time, the DVD's of the Showtime series The Tudors, from the library, too scratched to watch.  Had to actually go outside and talk to people, real life, in the apartment building courtyard, to the late hours.  Ending up with a seething desire for making a run for some Popeye's chicken.  Which would have kept me up all night.
I need Big Brother to start.  Don't wanna socialize. I don't skateboard.  Movies cost too much. Wanna blob out, on the cheap.  What happened to tv?  Oh, yeah.  It's summer  Tongue.  Oh, Big Brother, where art thou ?

Nah, I haven't drunk any booze since I was 35 or so.  But, suffering through, Piers Morgan interviews Conan O'Brian on CNN at 9 PM, EST.  And there's always PBS which, tonight, attempts to explain how long it takes for the Queen to get duded up for opening Parliament  Cheesy.  I am sooo ticked off those DVD's are scratched.  But, deprivation could make for a different pattern of looking about for replacements.
I wish I lived closer to my friends. That's the real problem.
