Oh, TV where art thou ?  I have no DVD's just right now, am out of books, don't have a dog, and my neighbors are uninteresting.  It's a mess.

[Note to anyone:  send me some booze, or something; this is awful.]

It sounds boring, nevertheless there is no hurricane to otherwise distract you.

The funniest thing I've seen on tv in weeks was tonight's Fashion Police on E with Joan Rivers interiewing Kris Kardasetera. It was hilarious! One thing about Joan Rivers, she pokes as much fun at and is as nasty to herself as to other people.

Well, talking of Joan Rivers, she did a spot on Graham Norton in the UK and had the other guests bowing to her highnessness. Grin

Can anyone tell me why the SyFy network has this weird fascination with cross-breeding two different animals into one killing machine?

Dunno, Chuck.  Maybe they're running out of themes?  I saw one with a very large crocodile eating hysterical bimbos, and quickly changed channels.  I wish they'd just do Star Trek, all versions, more often.  Or Romney commercials, which would qualify, maybe  Cheesy........

Every once in a while I enjoy a Piranha or Crocodile 2 or Eight Legged Freaks or Anacondas. And one of my all time favorite films (top 10, maybe top 5 depending on my mood when making my list and checking it twice) is Lake Placid. You can't beat Lake Placid for a good time no matter what mood you're in!

Beats the Cubs versus the Knicks any day of the week.

.....Cooked Squid Inseminates Woman's Mouth
..By ABC News ...Posts .By ABC News | ABC News Blogs – Fri, Jun 15, 2012........

Here's one not for the squeamish, from South Korea: A semi-cooked squid inseminated a woman's mouth, according to a paper published in the Journal of Parasitology. After experiencing "severe pain in her oral cavity" when she bit into her seafood, the woman spit out her meal but continued to feel a lingering "pricking" sensation.

Doctors found that the 63-year-old woman had "small, white spindle-shaped bug-like organisms" lodged in the mucous membrane of her tongue, cheek and gums.

Despite having been boiled, the dead squid's live spermatophores, or sperm sacks, were alive and penetrated the woman's mouth. The sacks, which contain ejaculatory devices, forcefully release sperm and a "cement" that attaches the sperm to a wall.

Not to worry, calamari lovers. Most Western-world squid preparation removes the squid's internal organs, leaving only its muscle for eaters to enjoy, according to Danna Staaf, who writes the blog Squid a Day, published on Science 2.0.

The rights to this story have been sold to Steven Spielberg and Wes Anderson, film to be directed by the Coen Brothers. Screenplay is being written by Fran Walsh, Philippa Boyens & Peter Jackson since Affleck and Damon have had to bow out due to scheduling conflicts.
Meryl Streep is said to be considering the lead role with Anthony Hopkins, Tom Cruise and Lindsey Lohan signed as the team of scientists trying to stop the squid hybrids without harming their host. Music by Dee Snider. and Fiddy Cent.
