Oh god, it's the end of the world and it isn't even December yet.

I agree with Lyle.

I'm watching The Voice (from last Monday night) and it is god-awful. The first match up was just bad (Pip and Parrot) and the wronger guy stayed. The second match... the female who has a terrible/strange voice with really REALLY strange pronunciation against the weirdo brothers who can't even spell 'harmony...' bad, bad, bad! If someone tuned into this show for the very first time during the second match, they sure as hell would never watch again.

And then Christina matches two people who can actually sing and sound good doing it.

When I had cable, I tried watching this show several times. I love the look of it via snippets on various talk/entertainment shows and commercials. But I could never get through two episodes in a row. Don't know why as it should be a favorite of mine. John Hamm does nothing for me, so maybe that's it.

I agree with you, doodler, though Lord knows we seem to be in the minority.  All the hubbub made over MAD MEN about how it's the first time we've seen the ad world of the 60s like it really is!  Hasn't anyone seen the films THE APARTMENT or MADISON AVENUE, or hell, even an episode of BEWITCHED with Darrin at work?  I know people who adore MM, though.  Maybe it's a case of Entertainment Weekly shoving it at me so damned relentlessly and so often that I hate something before I even see it.  Same thing happened to me with the overhyped, overrated THE SOPRANOS, HUNGER GAMES, and every damned thing the last few years with a vampire or a zombie in it.

Not a zombie/vampire/supernatural fan either, although The River had zombies... and a lot of other creepy unreal stuff... and I liked it. It was the one hour per week when I just went along for the ride.

all of last weeks episodes of EastEnders were amazing, gonna miss Hev and her obsession with George Micheal, would still love him to sing at her funeral!!!, I cried my heart out when Shirley broke down,Linda Henry who plays Shirley proved last week why most people think shes the best actress in the show (although love Jo Joyner too!)

Finally, a belly laugh ! Harry's Law.  Harry is drawn out of her house by the whiz-whirring-blinking of a police drone overhead; she goes for her rifle, and she shoots it down.  Great stuff !

dancing with the stars should prove interesting tonight.   Evil

it appeared that pretty much everyone had some talent.  tonight everyone gets challenged.  jive for some quickstep for the remainder.  both call for fast feet and stamina.  the quickstep, unlike the jive require a specific posture, and not many can acquire that in such a short time.  i am rooting for levy to get quickstep because he has the physique to really sell it if he can get the frame.  i have to admit i am looking forward to it.

I am so annoyed about the situation with Mad Men here. We absolutely love it, and it was being shown on the BBC. Now it is only on the satellite channel Sky Atlantic, and we have Virgin Cable, who are perpetually arguing with Sky about money, and don't include that channel in their package.
As the whole idea of having the phone, broadband, TV etc changed over is completely un-faceable to me, I suppose we ill just have to buy the boxed set of series 5 videos when they come out.

TV Guide shoves it at you, too.  MM is the cover feature for the current issue.

John Hamm does nothing for me, so maybe that's it.

I think he's fair enough, nice-looking in an old-fashioned Arrow-shirt kind of way. But the way some people carry on about him you'd think they think he's God's gift to women and maybe gay men.  Whut?
