TV Right Now: The good, the bad and the totally sucky

....  I really enjoy the show and think they have some great talent.  I want it to move on out of the battle rounds and get started now!

 Me, too !  But am finally getting Doodler's point.  Supposedly, the show is about talent, not looks (otherwise, why the theatrically swivelling judges chairs?).  And there is, just right now, little contrast. Weirder would be better.  They need to pimp them up, some.  CeeLo, can you hear us   ?

as long as we are talking talent competition in here, let me put in a plug of sorts for ol' phillip who seems to have wound up on the wrong show from the way y'all are talking.  except i'm not sure he would have been chosen on his voice alone.  he's kind of a shouter, but by god he lives his music.

 Thanks, tv moguls.  Tonight, The Mentalist is up against Grimm.  For me it will have to be the latter.  I need the fire-spouting gorgon lady to be a legitimate parody (of whomsoever I choose).  Maybe Michelle Bachmann. Or some of the women I have run into, over the years. I'll just let it happen.
  I do appreciate the critters are equally represented between the genders. Fair is fair.  But, alas, they don't have any gay blutbads.  They need Cochran, from Survivor.  Oops, wrong thread  .....

  Yes, it's Colton, not Cochran.  But I doubt any self-respecting blutbad would consider him munchable. They have some standards, too, you know.

  Meanwhile, Grimm went a dangerous step further this evening.  They gave a scientific explanation for a critter's ways and means.  In this case, the gorgons can breathe fire because they are metabolizing body fat at a rapid rate, and directing the resulting energy outwards.
  Not good.  It could now be a subject for advanced clinical trials.  Jaime Oliver will be history.  Worse, one could never be safe outside of a Taco Bell, having inadvertently encountered someone not lately on good terms with.  Thank God this could never transmit through the internet, or I would be very leery of the "Was Ennis Gay?" thread.  Also, "Hot Topics".
