Here we go again...
severe weather in my locale so the weather guys are jumping up and down with glee because it gives them another opportunity (the second in 48 hours) to interrupt "regularly scheduled programming" to show just how nifty their brand new weather reading/predicting equipment and technology is.
Here's the thing... when they're NOT interrupting regularly scheduled programming they're using those damned scrolling banners AND weather maps which take up about a fifth of the tv screen.
How dumb do you have to be to not get the message that the weather could be a problem?
And why is it the interruptions have to last 5-10 minutes with the broadcaster going over the same information multiple times during each?
AND why do they interrupt their interruptions for regularly scheduled commercials?

The gist of this is... pay close attention to Grimm 'cause I'm going to need a full report!

Sorry about the weather interruptions, but it is pretty serious tonight out where you are.  A full report. Hmmm.  Won't spoil it for those who haven't seen it, but these highlights:

Officer Wu is Back !!!!!   And unfairly under-used.  But, any Wu is a good Wu.  Am greatly impressed by Detective Cho, on the Mentalist, so I really needed an Asian offset, which Wu certainly is.  Asian-Americans are wildly attractive (think Julie Chen, Ann Curry), and tv moguls are beginning to find that out.

So.  Tonight, as per the promos, three coins bring great power to whomever holds them, and they date back through to the ancient empires all the way forward to Adolf Hitler.  Those who have them have great sway over males (OMG....think of the slash possibilities  Smiley ).

Anyway, one of the new critter types sort of, well, eats babies.  Which Monroe considers excessively rude.

What happens and how it ends, will be better to find out, Doodler, on the re-runs.  Meanwhile, the cinematography has got to win an Emmy ! Grimmlies should exert presssure for that !

Thank you, Tony.  The... creatures... who eat babies are airplane passengers? Or possibly politicians?

I had no (as in NO) NBC or CBS coverage of anything except commercials all night. ABC managed to save this part of the world with just scrolls across the bottom of the screen, even DURING commercials. Of course, the 11 o'clock news is wrapping up... and so are the storms, apparently. The tornadoes have disappeared and our severe weather has been reduced to heavy rain. Let me be clear about this... until about 15 minutes ago, I had no bad weather, including rain. (As soon as I let some dogs out for their last potty break of March 2, 2012, the rain started.)

Morse is a real classic here in the UK Smiley.

"The series comprises 33 two-hour episodes (100 minutes excluding commercials) — 20 more episodes than there are novels — produced between 1987 and 2000".  And the standard keeps up pretty well throughout.

I loved Morse my parents were massive fans, and I grew up watching it, I loved John Thaw, Morse and John really were national treasures in england

The Downton Abbey main actors havve signed through season FIVE.

And April, I just caught Jordis' audition on The Voice. She's good.
Waiting for her to choose... and it's Blake.

And, finally, it looks like the Saturday night Smash repeats are over and done with so unless Castle goes into reruns I'm never going to find out about them stealing a Chinese baby from some poor peasants in Xiao Shan. Bummer.

Those who have yet to sign on the dotted line (the key word there being yet) are Dan Stevens (Matthew), Siobhan Finneran (O’Brien) and Jessica Brown Findlay (Lady Sybil).

Siobhan is also filming her other series Benidorm inbetween filming 'Downton' so she might be to busy or not want to do both anymore, I would Rather her stick to 'Benidorm' I love it, her character Janice is the complete opposite of O Brien, shes a great actress

more info here, its a very sucessful tv show in the UK

I did say main actors.

Lady Sybil has been missing the last couple episodes and O'Brien is not exactly essential AND when it comes to Matthew, he's pretty wishy washy... as, apparently, is the actor who plays him.

Alright, somebody, ANYbody...
what's up with Cee Lo and the cat?!

And while I'm at it...
having spent the afternoon watching two full episodes (4 hours) and being in the last part of the first hour of a third episode, I am missing the... how shall I put it... less main stream looking (and possible more talented...) competitors this year. Everyone appears so normal. And their performances have been too. And I'm finding the show less interesting for it.

Not sure, but maybe it (the cat) is a foil; someone to talk to.  The over-all effect seems to convey domesticity and sensuality.  I kind of enjoy those scenes.

As for the competitors, I've seen several that may turn out explosively good, but the rest do seem to be ho-hum.  As if they belong in a kareoke bar.

Zap2It reports:

What is it with Grimm and hiring people who have worked on creepy shows? The latest person to follow this trend is Dexter star David Zayas as he will guest on an upcoming episode of the haunted procedural.

Zayas, who is best known for playing Angel Batista on the Showtime series, will play a giant troll-like creature called a Hasslich. TVLine is reporting that Zayas's character is a building inspector who runs a racketeering scam. But he starts to face problems when some people, the beaver-like Eisbibers, reject his demands.

I loved Dexter when I had cable.
