Perhaps I'm being particularly dense but I don't see anything about an Ultimate Brokeback Bookstore at the top of my page.

A question about date and time.

Is the time shown (for posts AND for PMs) ALWAYS the (I think Denver?) local 'forum' time, or can it be the member's local time if she/he put a different one in his own profile?

Thank you

The time displayed defaults to Mountain time (Denver).  If you want it to display your own time zone, then you can go into your profile options and update the Time Offset value (under Look and Layout Preferences) to adjust the default timezone to your own.

Hi guys

Is there a list of fonts available here?  'Course the default, verdana, and then there's Papyrus.   Must be more.  Where?

Dal, I think the fonts are controlled by what is on your machine.  So anything you see in Word, for example, I think would work here in the forum.  HOWEVER -- be aware that they also have to exist on your reader's computers.  So if you use something obscure not all readers will be able to see that font.

This discussion came up before, and one of our members could see the fonts at home, but not on her work computer.

This is correct, the fonts must be installed on your PC.  If you are using window there should be quite a few there as they are part of the windows base installation - soory can't help theose with apples but I expect it's pretty much the same.

To see what you have installed in Windows, click, start, programs, accessorise, systems tools, Character map there is a drop down list which shows you all fonts installed.

Ah so, thanx gents.  This teeny BBC or CCCP (or whatever) markup stuff is really just tacked onto html isn't it, more or less.  kinda inconsistant though.  E.g. you can embed hrefs, but can't do old-fashioned <font color="#ff123456"></font> for on-the--fly pretty colors.  Anyway thankx for the font info.  Guess I'll have to go back and install that Georgian language font that I never did, way back when, now that wdj has been having fun with it on his thread.

Dal I have that font and it doesn't do ME a darn bit of good!

Oh wait, I just realized maybe I am missing something -- so while I'm here might as well ask a question.

Are we supposed to DO something with those messages?  Like decode them, change them to a regular font we can read?

Here's something I can't do guys:  center a table, without screwing up the centering within the cells.  Maybe you can help.  Observe:

Good ittle boy?
Or bad ittle boy?
UP
DOWN

Here's the "code" for the non-centered table, for convenience.

Code:
[table]

[tr]
[td][img width=180 height=150]http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f104/vcdrtPH/___agape-1.jpg[/img][/td]
[td][img width=300 height=150]http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f104/vcdrtPH/____sacred_profane.jpg[/img][/td]
[td][img width=90 height=150]http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f104/vcdrtPH/____hooker.jpg[/img][/td]
[/tr]

[tr]
[td][/td]

[td][center]
[color=Red][size=13pt][b]Good ittle boy?
Or bad ittle boy?[/b][/size][/color]
[/center][/td]

[td][/td]
[/tr]

[tr]
[td][center][b]UP[/b][/center][/td]
[td][/td]
[td][center][b]DOWN[/b][/center][/td]
[/tr]

[/table]

OK.  But, say I wanna center the whole table.  It comes out like this:

Good ittle boy?
Or bad ittle boy?
UP
DOWN
Disaster.  I must be looking right past something obvious.  Could somebody tell me what it is?  [And N.B. this bit of non-table text is centered, tho' not delineated by a pair of 'center' tags -- why?]

No, if you don't have the specific font that the post is using, then it will display to you in the default font.  So you don't have to do anything to read them.

The best I can work out is to take out the internal center formatting and simply center the entire table.  Images and text and any formatting.  Quote this and see how I did it and if that satisfies your inquiry.

Well, you said it yourself!!  The non-table-but-centered text that I neglected to address must've been some holdover from the "jungle" of center formatting you had.
