I just heard on the news that Michelle Obama is going to give a prime time speech at the Democratic Convention and that Julian Castro, the mayor of San Antonio, (I am from SA originally), is to give the keynote address at the convention. He is the youngest of the big city mayors, and the first Hispanic to deliver the keynote address at the Democratic convention. He was just making an appearance on the political scene when I left there in 2007.

And Bill Clinton is to place the President's name in formal nomination. Should be good.

I can't stop thinking of the sweet little six year old girl, Veronica, murdered by that monster in the theater.  (I refuse to dignify this monster by saying a name).  Her mother is paralyzed from the waist down, has lost the baby she was carrying, is critically injured - and she keeps asking about her little girl. It just makes me cry, what happened due to the actions of this  deliberate monster.   I keep thinking of all of the other innocent victims who perished; and all others who are critically injured.
And their families; what terrible pain for them!   

The troll is not due back in court until November while all of the innocent victims breathe no more.  November!  This is disgusting.  If this goes on and on and troll plays the insane/crazy act, it will definitely prove to me that the justice system in this country is worthy of no respect and has lost all validity. 

It is gratifying that CNN on its website every day remembers all of the victims the monster so viciously and intendedly murdered.

  I can't make hide nor hair of this Chick-fil-A bit.  First, if God's wrath is against those who defy what He allegedly says, where do they get off tip-toing around what is known to have been said:  NO divorce except in cases of adultery?  If anything is against the rules and regs, that's the biggie, and it is epidemic.  Not a peep from the chicken chain, there.
 Next, isn't this Anita Bryant, all over again?  Social historians may one day say that that piece of ridiculous ranting was the real Great Leap Forward for gay rights.  She was just....silly.

 But, in these days when it has turned out that Saddam Hussein had no WMD's, it was all a bluff, and Bin Laden was watching CNN in plain sight, in Abbadabbadab, there may be more going on here.
 We can not rule out that this is all a ruse to cause undulating stock prices for this business, prior to..... a takeover from Bain Capital.  With feathers flying everywhere !!!!

"Fox News host Mike Huckabee had enough of what he called the "vicious hate speech and intolerant bigotry" aimed at Chick-fil-A." So he called for this day of support for Chick-Fil-A and their supporters came in and showed their support for the company by spouting vicious hate speech and intolerant bigotry aimed at  gay people.

Andrew, a gay 24-year-old who has been working at the northern Alabama Chick-fil-A since January, sat in his car smoking a cigarette and watching the crowd during a break earlier Wednesday. "I call it hater appreciation day," said Andrew, who asked that his last name be withheld out of fear he'd be fired. "It's very, very depressing."

One gay employee who works at Chick-fil-A in Atlanta, Ga.told about the customer who came in and said he supported Dan Cathy and then "continues to say something truly homophobic, e.g. 'I'm so glad you don't support the queers, I can eat in peace,'" the employee, who is 23 has worked for Chick-fil-A since he was 16.

Gabriel Aguiniga, a gay employee at a Chick-fil-A in Colorado, also said the hardest part "is constantly having people come up to you and say, 'I support your company, because your company hates the gays,'" Aguiniga, 18, wrote in an email. "It really takes a toll on me."

On Chick Fil A's Facebook page, a post declares, "The Chick-fil-A culture and service tradition in our restaurants is to treat every person with honor, dignity and respect – regardless of their belief, race, creed, sexual orientation or gender."

[BTW, the Paki doctor and his family who lived across the street from the alleged "OBL Compound" testified that no such personage as "Bin Laden" lived in their tight-knit little neighborhood.
He also said that he and his family watched the rout from the roof of their house, saw the helicopter that the US alleges to have picked up OBL & Co. blow up on the ground before it could take off.

Interesting reference.  Anita Bryant had a lucrative contract promoting Florida orange juice, which she lost shortly after she launched her "crusade" and it got national attention.  No company wants someone promoting it who's  controversial.  They want someone with high name recognition but few enemies.

How many people who see the CfA logo now think "chicken sandwich" and how many think "boycott/gay rights/homophobia"?  Cathy compromised the brand and he can't blame "the gay agenda" for it this time.

This whole thing is very disheartening--watching lines of people out expressing their dislike at best and hatred and bigotry at worst, some (most?) under the guise that it's just a first amendment issue of the right of free speech.

Did this company get scores of these same people supporting his right of free speech when he came out and supported the right of gay people to marry?

In the months leading up to North Carolina’s vote this month to ban gay marriage, most of the state’s business leaders were conspicuously silent. While some executives spoke out against it as individuals, not one Fortune 500 company based in North Carolina, including Bank of America, Duke Energy, VF Corporation and Lowe’s, opposed it.

But one company did: Replacements Limited.

 Where were all these same people coming to his shop and supporting his right to free speech?  This man doesn't give money to anti-straight causes like Mr. Chatty Cathy supports anti-gay hate groups.  It's clear these people came out to be anti-gay. And it's supported by many gay Chick Fil A employees who documented it.

Can you imagine the head of EL POLLO LOCO coming out and supporting racist causes like the KKK or something.  Would all these people go support him because he's entitled to free speech.  Let's have a national EL POLLO LOCO Appreciation day.
