Oh, that was classy.

Next up:  a smiling photo of Dr. Kevorkian posted to someone with a dying spouse, partner, parent or sibling.

No, just ranks right up there with many of the comments made here the last election cycle concerning Bush, Cheney, and especially Sarah Palin.   You want me to dig them out (I already have them in a database) from the archives?

I was orginally going to stay away from this, but decided to add my two cents.

In case you don't know, there is a difference.

#1.  Yes vile things have been said about Bush, Cheney, Sarah Palin.  Vile things have also been said about Obama, Clinton,  Biden.  It comes from both sides.

#2.  The people here personally don't know any of the people mentioned above.  Tom is a member here, who has been to a number of the gatherings.

He's posted recently about his mother's ill-health, and then about losing his job.  Instead of sympathy, you turned his post into a political statment.

It was your right to do.  It's my right to say it was a shitty thing to do.

Chuck, I understand, but in a PM I sent to TellYouWhat, this was not personal against Tom at all, I was simply posting using his to make a point to the community at large, that the ruling by the Supreme Court is in fact a TAX.  There is no other way to cut it, we are ALL going to pay for this one way or another.

My own health care is covered my my employer, and the amount I pay in as as single person has tripled, YES, tripled, in the past two years....and will increase again before the end of the year.   Now I ask you, is this fair?

You can defend/spin your post any way you want.   If you wanted to make that point, you can do it without using the hard times of a fellow forum member to express your point of view.

I've been a member here since 2005, and I've never told anyone their post was shitty until tonight, and your explanation hasn't changed that opinion.

Moving to a different thread now, so I don't continue to drag this one off topic.

Thanks Chuck. I wasn't going to say a thing about it. However, over time I found huttinbuddy's post even more upsetting and was going to post a reply. But you beat me to it. Another thing a co-worker at my on-call job will be laid off at her full-time job at the end of July. So, we are now in the same boat. My only question is where is the Republican's job bill they promised if elected in 2010. I'm still waiting. Sad part is if I were in the Union at work, I would not have lost my job. For, I would have seniority  and could have bump someone else out. Instead I was not allowed to join, i'm the one out. Those BAD Unions.

Again, thanks.

Cheer up Tom, it could be worse, at least you aren't married to Tom Cruise. Cheesy

Time once again to check in on our gay Sheriff...
(Hopefully I won't get a headache from rolling my eyes.)

Paul Babeu: Eric Holder contempt charges not enough

 Roll Eyes

We note that Sheriff Babeu never complained once while CIA was putting guns (and money) into the hands of the Columbian druglords. -Of course, they were *our* druglords.  Roll Eyes

I like Sheriff Paul* -- he's always willing to take that EXTRA step into the un-proven, and to do it, publicly!
While he claims that Bush's gun-running programs were "different from Obama's" because they were coordinated with "Mexican authorities," he failed to mention which "authorities" those were.   Roll Eyes Cheesy

-Az

*No, not just because he's gay, or b/c he owns a satin-black Cross Pen set, etc., etc...

While you can always find another job, mercifully there's only one Tom Cruise.

First, when I read your post I didn't think it was personal toward Tom or that you meant any
disrespect toward him.  Maybe, however, it wasn't the best way to make your point, though.

My own health care is covered by my employer, and the amount I pay in as as single person has tripled, YES, tripled, in the past two years....and will increase again before the end of the year.   Now I ask you, is this fair?

No.  I'd say it is not fair that the amount you pay has tripled, but as far as I understand it, the ACA
doesn't have anything to do with that situation as most of it isn't even in effect yet.

P.S.:  Poor you.  You have a job and healthcare.

***

Reminds me of when the film THE GRAPES OF WRATH came out and I read that some people
who saw it were commenting on the plight of the Joads and how poor they were etc. and
someone pointed to the reaction of some audiences in Russia who saw it and they were commenting,
"Ooooh, aaaahh, they have cars!"

I think Obama tried the compromise route thoroughly enough to memorize every billboard and roadside memorial.

You are so right.
