Perhaps it was a she.  Wink

Same rules apply.  Prostitution is a surprisingly consistent industry.

Nevada Pride in the Saddle: The Story of Gay Rodeo

Join gay rodeo producer Brian Rogers on a journey down the trail of gay rodeo in Nevada. Many rodeo fans are surprised to learn that
gay rodeo has been in existence for over 35 years, and got its start in Nevada. In 1975, the first gay rodeo was conceived in Reno as
a fundraiser for the local Senior Citizens Thanksgiving Day dinner. The talk will be accompanied by an exhibition of vintage gay rodeo
photographs by Blake Little, original rodeo posters, programs and rule books from early Nevada Gay Rodeo.

So how did everyone celebrate 4/20 yesterday?

4/20 History Lesson: The REAL Reason Marijuana Is Illegal [Video]

April 20th, in addition to being Hitler’s birthday and the start date of the tragic BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, is a symbolic day for the drug policy reform movement.

In the United States, the mere mention of hemp or its psychoactive cousin, cannabis sativa, brings down condemnation about “potheads” or “stoners.” What many fail to realize, however, is that over 100 million Americans have ingested marijuana for recreation or health purposes in their lifetime. Many of them are successful, otherwise law abiding members of society.

Yet this plant, which was cultivated by the Founding Fathers, has been lumped in with heroin and LSD as a schedule I narcotic. Many people think this classification was given after scientific research determined that marijuana was too dangerous for human consumption, but that’s not the case. Once again, to find the real reason marijuana is illegal, you just have to follow the money.

So how did everyone celebrate 4/20 yesterday?

Seems like a local high schooler here decided to celebrate by bringing laced cookies to his high school yesterday and passed them out. Panic ensued.

I don't doubt it, lol!  We've been having daily student protests here in Montreal because of proposed tuiton fee hikes.  Yesterday's demo turned into a riot with students throwing projectiles at police and setting garbage cans on fire and the police responding with sound bombs and tear gas.  However, everything was calm by 4:20 in the afternoon.  Grin

At CU Boulder they used a fish-based fertilizer to disperse protestors.

When arguments either fail or are non-existent, there's nothing like "smelly fish fertilizer" to make a point.   Evil

... some non-current events have relevance to understand what's happening currently.
Some don't. Past is prologue.  What is the saying--If we don't learn from the mistakes of
the past we are condemned to repeat them. Titanic is relevant today even though it happened a century ago.

-Yes, but the ruling was,

If you want to discuss the past that we are doomed to repeat then start a new thread in "Start Your Own".

Or, to quote Jan Hooks, "Demonic raisins I rebuke you."

If I recall, at the time that was posted everyone was arguing ABOUT the
past events and not how those past events related to anything that was
happening currently.  There is a difference, subtle though it may be.

Huntinbuddy posted a link to an article that on its own, without context,
makes the current President's deficit numbers look decidedly unwarranted.
And I'm sure that's what he wanted us to see it as.  I posted a link that
put it in context with the previous administration that changes the way
you look at the article he posted and his response was to ask why I
posted that as he always gets slammed for posting things that aren't
current events.  In other words, don't dilute my point with factual
context.  And that's why I posted what you partly quoted above.

Possibly so. If I recall, the past events being discussed related to the notion of "presidential character" --particularly that of Ronald Reagan-- in light of the 2012 Republican candidates rhetoric. AFAIC, the connection was clear.

I am not sure that marijuana is as harmless as many people who enjoy it would have us believe, it is seriously carcinogenic, and I have also worked with students who have been seriously mentally affected by it, panic attacks, psychotic episodes etc.
It is probably no more dangerous than alcohol but as a society we have enough problems with that.
Perhaps it is better if its sale and use is at least a little restricted.
