Kathy,

Speaking of "what killers think," the Guardian-UK is reporting that the Obama regime has signed the order to destroy Syria...

Obama signs order 'supporting' Syria's rebels, reports say
US government source acknowledges that US is collaborating with a secret 'nerve centre' operated by Turkey and its allies

-Not unexpected at all. -Got Netan-yahoo's stench all over it.

The "secret nerve center" would be Obama's CIA & its Turkish "affiliates," of course...

+ Note that a few months ago, the Obama CIA bragged openly to the media about how their ('Netanyahoo'-inspired) machinations led to the destruction of Libya. -And Egypt...

Stan:

Not unexpected.  Do you know what struck me right away?  It is the placement of quotation marks - i.e., 'supporting' Syrian rebels, that the Guardian-UK places in its headline.  They know more of the state of affairs than we in the U.S. do.
War does makes strange bedfellows, but the U.S. & Israel share all of their intelligence info and have always done so.

Another thing: Since when did the CIA ever help any country?  All they do is lie and destroy wherever and whatever they want and get away with it.  And all of a sudden Pannetta is saying to the killer Assad "get out".  Why didn't they do something about getting him out 1-1/2 yrs. ago, before all of the innocent civilians' - babies, children, young adults, women and men's horrible deaths?

So now we are hearing the "chemical weapons" in Syria thing.  Yeah, sure.  I can't help but think back to the infamous cheney/bush Evil and their, along w/the CIA's, declaration of Iraq's 'weapons of mass destruction'.   Talk about lying.

It really makes me sad that the ancient country of Syria, with all of its ancient monuments & cities dating back to the Fertile Crescent are being destroyed.
I can't help but thinking when cheney-bush Evil - safely back in their bunkers - will come out again; also when Halliburton and XE are going over there.  What a mess.

kathy
p.s.  obama knows the election is coming up in November.  I don't think he'll do a thing over there 'cos all he wants is to be re-elected.  mutt romney is a stupid joke, the UN is a joke.  Curse Russia and China for supplying all of the tanks and all other deadly weapons and artillery to killer assad from the beginning.

Am not sure, but it does look like Sen. Harry Reid's claims, based on an alleged source at Bain Capital, that Romney didn't pay any taxes for 10 years, could be a game-changer.

*Romney has said the charges are false.  If the source comes out into the open, Romney becomes a likely liar, which, in politics, is worse than not paying taxes.
*The Repubs will try to claim the source is the White House (through access to the IRS), which would lead to criminal charges, if true.  I don't think the Prez is that stupid, but, his staff, you never know. IRS records are secret.
*Reid is not backing down.  Although he has been known to go too far, at times, a reporter on CNN who has covered him for years, says she believes he's not making a gaffe, but has something.
 This one could go boom.

It would be more of a backlash after he gets the nomination rather than him withdrawing beforehand. An open convention would be fascinating, though dangerous.

Tony, are you familiar with this story? I love the song, and am especially impressed that singing it saved the life of this man.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Mary_Ellen_Carter

The song never fails to bring tears to my eyes.

"And you, to whom adversity has dealt the final blow
With smiling bastards lying to you everywhere you go
Turn to, and put out all your strength of arm and heart and brain
And like the Mary Ellen Carter, rise again.

"Rise again, rise again—though your heart it be broken
Or life about to end.
No matter what you've lost, be it a home, a love, a friend,
Like the Mary Ellen Carter, rise again"

No, I don't remember it, Fritz.  I was here in Norfolk that year, away in Charlottesville, the next year (1984).  Can't see how it slipped by me, as I always read the newspaper.  I agree, it's a beautiful story.

I first heard the song on an NPR Weekend Edition story on Stan Rogers, and was a basket case when the story was over. Since then he has become one of my favorite singers.

This is a great example of the vast beauty in the world, Fritz, that is often missed.  I will have to listen to the song when I just use the computer for that only.  But its having helped to save a life is formidable enough !!!

Absolutely, and what the U.S. won't give up in intel to Israel, Israel's spies, like Jonathan Pollard will turn over to them, gladly. [List of Israeli spies  ] Pollard's spying was one thing, but he committed the ultimate 'sin' --handing over the blue book of the US Arab assets to Israel, including the name of one Tim Osman (a.k.a., "Osama bin Laden") -earning himself a life sentence in the US, an unheard-of sentence for Israeli spies caught doing their misdeeds inside the US.

-Like Blackwater/Xe, the CIA works for Wall Street, Big Oil, the Axis of Greed, BCCI, whoever has the big bucks. -They have no scruples.

2. In building a consensus among Americans to launch an invasion on behalf of Israel, squander taxpayers' dollars and waste human lives,  propaganda is usually enough, but a bad situation allowed to get VISIBLY worse works very well, too. (Noam Chomsky calls this, "the manufacture of consent" [for war].)

-Yep. -- Actually, the *real* CIA had previously declared that Iraq had NO WMDs -- so Cheney set up 'The Office of Special Plans' inside the Pentagon -- his own little bogus 'cia'  -- to feed on lies about Iraq supplied by defector Ahmed Chalabi, et.al.,  generating false intel, and feeding these bogus 'special reports' to bush. Cheney convinced Bush to add another layer of bureaucracy between the White House and the CIA, so that CIA could no longer reported directly to the President.  AFAIK, they are still furious about what Cheney did.

-Consider that this type of destruction is repeating itself in country after country?! - Like the Romans the US doesn't give a rat's arse about destroying (or protecting) native culture in any country it invades. -On the other hand, it is apparent that the Israelis care very much about destroying civilization and culture.  -This was the plan in Iraq, as on Day One of the second bush invasion, museums, libraries and educational facilities were looted, razed or burned to the ground after busloads of artworks & artifacts were carted off on re-painted blue school buses while Iraq citizens watched in horror.[1] Witnesses say, every government building and place of Iraqi culture in Baghdad was razed with the exception of the Ministry of Oil, which the US secured along with all of Iraq's oil wells, and handed those over to necon zionist Paul Bremer.  (By the way, for anyone who is interested, this is all a matter of public record.)

-Ditto.
Hopefully we'll be a little wiser about human evil by the time they or their lackeys retake power.

-Stan

Gee, if Obama had been in charge in the 60s, our staged moon landing could have been on Mars.

-Seeing as how Barack Obama would've been around 8 years old at the time of the moon landing I'm not sure how he  would've found time for school,  to hold down a directorship at NASA, and pal around with Bill Ayers & his other terrorist homies...?!

BTW, Obama's favorite planet was Venus, not Mars... He liked 'Venus' "because it rhymes with 'penis'"...  Wink

Az, I didn't see if you gave a link to Israeli spies, but Jeremiah Matisse (sp?) came from the U.S. military, and is now back in the U.S. military.  And then there's the hyper-secret Ariel Weinmann case, which was tried here in Norfolk. He downloaded "confidential biographies", and, whatever was in them sent the feds into orbit.  After a sweetheart deal, he's still in the Navy, under duress of serving 25 years if he ever talks.  I had thought he gave the material to the Russians, but that was probably disinformation.  Might have been Israel.  Spying is treason; I don't understand the cover-ups and sweetheart deals.  All of this, under Cheney/Bush, but ratified by the Obama administration.  Ugh.
Even so, we probably spy on Israel.  It's a voyeurists dream-come-true type of world, these days. Voyeurists, sadists and nut-cases.
