Of course it made it to YouTube -- Romney hearing from the NAACP on repealing "obamacare":

Highlight:  "I do promise that your hospitality to me today will be returned", followed by a church-lady riff on an organ.

Well, the intended target of his speech was not the audience in front of him.

A friend emailed me this. I have NOT checked it out.

Dear Friend,

The U.S. Supreme Court's disastrous Citizens United v. FEC ruling has
unleashed a torrent of anonymous campaign spending into our political
system. Corporations have been able to exert a massive influence on our
electoral process without being subject to any accountability for that
influence.

Progressive champion Senator Sheldon Whitehouse is fighting back by
pushing Congress to pass the DISCLOSE Act. And he has asked the public to
join him as citizen co-sponsors.

Become a citizen co-sponsor of the DISCLOSE Act of 2012 to end secret
election spending.

^^^
I heard that at least six states have announced that they will not honor the C.U. vs FEC ruling, (TN & W. VA, among them) apparently getting set to investigate large campaign donations/"superPACs"..

I used the online method, listed at the bottom instead of calling their number.

Subject:  Remember Cell Phones Go Public This Month/Register your phone on the Federal Do Not Call list.

Here's the phone number for do not call - cell phones.
REMEMBER: Cell Phone Numbers Go Public this month.
REMINDER..... all cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing companies and you will start to receive sales calls.

.... YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THESE CALLS

To prevent this, call the following number from your cell phone: 888-382-1222.
It is the National DO NOT CALL list It will only take a minute of your time.. It blocks your number for five (5) years. You must call from the cell phone number you want to have blocked. You cannot call from a different phone number.

(If you register on line, you can do up to 3 numbers at one time)

HELP OTHERS BY PASSING THIS ON. It takes about 20 seconds.

It appears that the DC officer who may have threatened the First Lady's life, is not a one-time freak story.  Two officers in Richmond, Va., special ops, who protect motorcades, also suspended for allegations of much the same.
Politically hot, because if you tarnish law enforcement, you don't get their union votes.  But something is wrong. And weeping-for-himself Boehner and sneering Eric Cantor, IMO, have been creating this climate.

I wouldn't go that far, Tony, to say they created the problem. They certainly haven't helped but racism is nothing new in this country. As long as there have been uppity blacks, there hae been closet klanners putting them in their place.

I wouldn't either; but Tony actually stated that they'd created the climate.  Totally agree with that.

No way, even during the Clinton administration, would anyone in either party defend the actions of a member of Congress who yelled "you lie" to a President during a speech.  The GOP has ushered in an "anything goes" era and there's going to be blood shed at  high levels sooner or later as a consequence.

AUSTIN (KXAN) - In an effort to raise big bucks on a Texas Tuesday, President Barack Obama will hit two of the state’s largest cities – Austin and San Antonio.

During his visit, his campaign is hoping to best his Republican rival – former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney – who raised $106 million last month, compared to Obama’s $71 million.

On Tuesday afternoon, the president will attend a downtown fundraiser at the Austin Music Hall hosted by the LGBT Leadership Council. Tickets for the event, which will feature singer/songwriter Jerry Jeff Walker, range in price from $250 per person to $7,500 per couple.
