What does Mike call what he sticks his penis into?  Or does he??
Well, IF, he "sticks" it at all, I assume what he calls the object of his "sticking" depends upon his audience.
If he is addressing the Chamber of Commerce, he calls it her "Lady business" .
If courting the "Latino' vote, I suppose he uses "chocha".

In either case I am willing to bet the "sticking"  is of little consequence.

In the meantime, Michigan's GOP is anxious to protect its citizens from The Word That Dare Not Speak Its Name:

I could understand if they called it by the other name, but this is just stupid. It's the proper technical term used in sex ed, so what the hell is their problem? Whut? I find the other word a little bit offensive, so they can't go around using that...

Yes, well, I don't mind using the less nice word for the legislators :  pricks !

Meanwhile, Greece has decided not to bring the world to an end.  I suppose the stock market will still find a reason to tank, tomorrow.  If it isn't Greece, it's asteroids, or something.

Also, the deluge of ads has already begun, here in Virginia, and the election is over 4 months away.  The battleground states are going to be swamped with this stuff.  I think Virginia is likely to go for Obama, again, but not North Carolina.  Am hoping other forum members in the 10 battleground states will give their reports from their states.  The polls this year are not all that reliable.

Any thoughts on the Greek elections anyone?

Despite a fragile coalition, the people of Greece have reached the limit of any austerity program that can be imposed, and this should make the actions of such a coalition very interesting.

Austerity hasn't worked in the past in other countries and bailing out banks over Main Street has proven time and time again that they, the banks, do not spend money to stimulate economies, only consumers do: Those that work for a living.

The time for worlds wealthy, be they in Greece, or in America or Spain, or Italy, the Arab Spring or wherever, to begin to pay their fair share has now come to the forefront and will be the test to see just what type of world we all want, and not just here in the states. The world's "banking class" has a choice as the ball is in their court, and one thing is for certain: There are more angry people in the streets all over the world now more than ever than there are tall walls to keep the world's 1% safe a secure.

Dear Friends of Out West:

This coming Saturday, on June 23rd at 2:00 PM, I will present my workshop, “On Staging LGBT History: Laramie, Brokeback & ‘8’”in the West Hollywood Library Community Room. This will be my third Out West program for One City One Pride. www.weho.org/pride

Staging public testimony is an effective, efficient, and dramatic way to tell a story and preserve LGBT oral history. A brief lecture on how the documentary play is developed will be followed by Diversity Day, a staged reenactment—with audience participation— of recent Montana LGBT history which I adapted from an actual Missoula City Council Journal of Proceedings.

After Mayor John Engen of Missoula declared April 12, 2010 “Diversity Day”, six hours of powerful public testimony was heard prior to a Missoula City Council vote to add sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression to the city’s existing antidiscrimination ordinance – a first in Montana state history.

Footage of the original hearing will be screened as 45 minutes of redacted testimony is read by volunteers from the audience. The Missoula City Council has blessed this project.

"Diversity Day" is an opportunity to meet the Montana LGBT community and their friends who I have gotten to know and come to love- through the courage and power of their own words.

Please join me, if only to read a short passage, as a shout-out to Missoula from WeHo. I would be so grateful.

Thank you.

Why Republicans are against the Heath Care Mandate.

It can be summed up in 4 words, Obama was for it. It doesn't matter that it was their idea. They have to oppose it because as Mitch McConnel stated in the first couple weeks. We are going to do everything to see that President Obama is a one term president. Obama is republican light, Obama is what Republicans used to be. Only better, because he doesn't waste people's lives and money invading countries he just sends drones in to blow the hell out of people. He lets Wall Street skate after bankrupting the world, and gives them three years of unprecedented profits. There is a reason most people that aren't the far right can only conceive that the reason they don't like him is simply because of their race. It is because there is little else.

Wrong. It's because he's not a Republican.

You are partly correct another thing is the color of his skin, not Christian enough, or not they believe to be Christian. Last Sunday went to a movie, and on the car in front of me it stated on a bumper sicker:

"You are not Christan, if you are pro-choice."

I stated to say. "Well, you are not Christian if you are judging." But kept my mouth shut.

According to Krugman if Romney is elected it would be a distaste. Saying we would be like Ireland if he were to be elected. So, whats your thoughts?

I believe we are supposed to be witnesses, not judges.

Speaking of bumper stickers, at a stop light yesterday, I was the third in line of 3 cars with Obama stickers... didn't know about the first one until after we made the turn and I was passing it. Both other stickers were from '08 and the cars were a Lexus and a BMW. I was there representing the poor folk with my 11 year old Ford Focus. We could have pulled over and held an Obama election committee meeting since we had a quorum of his Tennessee supporters....

And bumper stickers lead me to gas prices. The national news last night said they had dropped a lot just last week, but here they have been $3.03/gallon for at least 10 days, maybe 2 weeks. And that is all over the Tri-Cities area, not just in my "neighborhood." The only exception: BP is about 2 cents higher/gallon, rightly so.

I paid $4.19 today and that is low out here! This time of year it is usually much higher. I expect it to go up for the 4th of July.

And I'm expecting it to go below $3 by the end of the month.
