I've been following this JPMorgan/Chase trade gone bad thing since Thursday, and the markets overseas are opening up now, and they are not happy.   To add more drama to this, it was just announced moments ago a 'fall guy' but in this case a fall gal has been named.   Gawd forbid that Dimon himself would resign.

But this poor gal has been knocking down $10-12million in pay the past couple years.   Sure hope she is able to survive without her mediocre income!  

The above article says there will be more resignations.    Yeah right,  I can just see these people walking into Dimon's office and going ...." oh my, I fu**'d up,  I lost the company $2B in the past six weeks, guess I better resign."   Yep that's the way it is I'm sure.  

This isn't over by a long shot.   My prediction:   Tomorrow and the days ahead will reveal a whole host of derivatives trades that have went sour and will amount to the trillions, and it will involve ALL the big banks.   This is round two of the financial crisis, and I'm surprised it took three years to get here.

True, but the estimate has went from 2, to 3 and now they are saying the trading loss might amount to $4B.   Who knows, by tomorrow or later in the week, it might be higher yet, and additional  trades might be revealed to have gone bad.

The point is, this is a company that was bailed out (TARP) with American tax dollars, not just Chase, but ALL the big banks in the U.S. and they were told in no certain terms at that time that basically, 'this shit has gotta stop' or else.   So what happens, they continue to pay their top crooks huge bonuses, they live a lifestyle of the rich and famous, and continue to circumvent each and every regulatory effort put in their path.

They deserve to fail, and I can't wait for it to happen.

I understand your frustration and if I had any money, I might be upset too. I've heard several times today that they really ARE too big to fail, which doesn't make me any too happy... is there someone,something,somewhere too SMALL to fail?

I don't know why a rainbow colored halo over the President's head was picked.
It does tap into the right-wing's "chosen one" mantra IMO.  In any case, I haven't
read Sullivan's article as yet.

To be honest, I prefer the New Yorker one, Obama isn't gay.  He's been a great supporter of the gay community, but to call him the "first gay president" doesn't seem right.
