Well, back again.  Re-registering was a mess, as I had to start all over again.  May still be wrong as to the instructions I followed.  And it would be 5 posts, I think, before I could use PM's, but nothing much with that.
Anyway, it's Christmas Eve, and am hoping everyone is doing ok.

Did discover that deleting my Facebook account made a real difference, as my computer is not half as cranky as it was before.  It may be FB draws a lot of energy, or whatever, but if that turns out to hold up, it's a great help.

Merry Christmas!

Thanks, Nancy !  Also, thank-you to the person who sent a PM.  I don't have PM ability for several more posts.

Am not even sure if I haven't messed up in the way I re-registered.  All I know is that, having de-activated, it wouldn't accept the original Username.  Thank God for that, as it was one I had dumped way, some time back.
It's also interesting that I don't have all those previous posts there, all the way back.  It's a fresh start, and am free of whatever posts over the years I would have mass-deleted, if I could.  Particularly some from several years ago.
Meanwhile, I hope this was the correct way to go, and it's not conflicting with the old account.

Again, thanks for the welcome back, and am glad to be back  Smiley.

Well, maybe so, Sara, if I haven't screwed up the works, and somehow there's a conflict with the original account.

But it is kind of neat to have no huge list of previous posts belaboring me with whatever I had thought or said after first joining.  I used to be on Ennis/Jack, and there, well, I am embarrassed at what still remains.  We really do change, sometimes, over the years. But if ever I need a reminder at what one pepsi too many does to my frame of mind, the evidence remains there  Cheesy......

Oh, no.....you didn't go there did you  Cheesy ?  That's ok,; if I ever got the guts to go to the "Ignorant Straight Woman..." thread, for any length of time......well, any claim of innocence would quickly be undone.

Meanwhile, am glad everybody is in a holiday spirit, and I hope this is a good time for all  Smiley.
[And yes, for me, a 3rd pepsi, and am in serious trouble; it's worse than booze]

Don't worry - you're not a virgin any more...  (Does that happen at 5 posts?)

Welcome back Tony!! Kiss

What a nice Christmas present to have you back!!

Yes one goes from a 'virgin' to 'getting acquainted' after 5 posts!!
It usually does not work that way in real life, though!! Roll Eyes

Well, thank God THAT's over. Maybe I'll be able to sleep tonight! Welcome back, Tony.

Aw, Linda, you are always the kindest person around !

I was going to e-mail you to see how to re-activate, but I knew you're swamped, so I just fiddled with the prompts.  Tech may have to unscramble, if it was done wrong, and if so, sorry for any trouble there.
Meanwhile,  Christmas Eve, and the middle of Hanukkah, and it's just good to see people, even though everybody's rushed on last minute things, being so very good-natured  !!!!

Thanks, Doodler ! I love the dry wit  Cheesy.  But, given that you can handle the re-runs of Grimm, I would think that nothing could particularly impede a good night's sleep for you.
   Merry Christmas !

Well, thanks, April !  It was nice to return on Christmas Eve, and to find a warm welcome.  I had been visiting, as a guest, but probably missed a lot on different threads. But, nothing new there.

Meanwhile, I know am repeating myself, but I had left Facebook, and.....from there on, it's been 4 days of next to no computer troubles.  Maybe those of us with slow-speed service, our computers just can't handle all the energy draw of that site.  This might be useful to anyone else, who has tried everything, including computer repair services, and still nothing. I hope it holds up, as am feeling like the old days, of about a year ago, when I could have more confidence.  Haven't done the ultimate test (music on YouTube), as I don't want to press my luck.

Thanks again, and wishing you the very best for these holidays.
