Nikki, I forget how I cancelled it, 2 years ago, but you might enter a search asking that question. Also, it kind of stays dormant, so you really have to message friends, explain, and then delete them.  You can also take out most of your profile.
It's got its good and bad points, as far as staying. As long as you download the free AVG virus software, and never open any applications, you are safe from what is the most virus-ridden site on the internet.
For me, it's kind of neat to see what everyone is up to. In my case, I will not have relatives or local friends, as they just aren't BbM friendly. But I like the things people write about, so, for me, it's BbM people only. (Except some poor artist in Oz that added me on, but, hey, he seems to be tolerant enough).

From what I understand, Facebook was originally a place set up for college students to network and such.  However, others found out about it, and now everyone has access to it, and connects on it.

I've reconnected with high school, college and even grade school friends.

For what it's worth, I was interviewed by the owner of a website called Twelve Mile Circle (the arc where Delaware meets Pennsylvania) about my county line crossing hobby. Anyone interested in reading it can find it here:

Yes, Fritz, I told you in the Diner that it was amazing, but will say so here as well, since the praise all seems to be gathering over here.

It's under Francis Eller (gosh, I loathe that first name  Roll Eyes and am so glad they tossed in Anthony, so I could have a normal name, as an alternative).

Grin Cheesy

I know how you feel, I go by Chuck but my first birth name is Charles, which I've never liked.  It sounds soooo pretentious and so not me.  Thankfully, my parents always called me "Chuck" and it stuck, and all my friends called me Chuck, however, the nuns from Catholic school refused to do this, and always called me "Charles".

It could've been worse, my father's first name is Hilrey.
