I think that people have a morbid fascination with stuff like that, sort of like slowing down on the highway to look at a traffic accident.

I remember not long ago there was an incident of pics released on the 'net from a horribe car wreck.  A young girl named Nikki Catsouras was grounded, and apparently didn't want to stay home.  She took some coccaine, and proceeded to take her father's porche on a high-speed joy ride.

It ended up with her going over 100 MPH, hitting another car (no one in it was hurt) and her slamming into a toll both, basically decapitating herself.

The officers that were on the scene took accident pics that were later leaked online.  They're pretty gruesome.  you would think that something like this wouldn't get views, but the pics ended up on forums and websites around the country.  You can find them easily by searching "Nikki Catsouras" or "Porsche Girl".

Someone was even cruel enough to send the pics via email to Nikki's father.  Roll Eyes

  I saw Linda's post, on the Diner, about the earthquakes near S.F. yesterday and today, and wanted to post, but the computer was on strike.  Anyway, am glad everybody is ok.  But there have been a lot of quakes lately, or at least it seems that way.
  Earthquakes are bad enough as a disaster, but we have so many forum members on the West Coast, it makes it that much more personal !
