Right. Well, I'd take Charles over Francis any day  Cheesy. We are both lucky we had alternatives.  There are some relatives that still call me "Anthony" and one, "Anf". But Tony, like Chuck, works just fine  Smiley....

Yes, Fritz, I told you in the Diner that it was amazing, but will say so here as well, since the praise all seems to be gathering over here.

Thanks, Debbie! Appreciate it, y'all!

For what it's worth, I was interviewed by the owner of a website called Twelve Mile Circle (the arc where Delaware meets Pennsylvania) about my county line crossing hobby. Anyone interested in reading it can find it here:

I do find it useful keeping track of friends, not only from the Forums but also from high school (particularly one now in Indonesia), college, and current and former workmates. I got on it due to pressure from a college friend, and continue to find it useful.

Supposedly, younger people reject FB (from what I've heard), considering it to be mainly for old people. Fine with me.

Fritz, it is useful for friend tracking, but I'm still bored!

BTW contrary to what you've heard, my granddaughters are enthralled with FB as are their friends (boys too!)  Oldest granddaughter just finished her first year at Temple and kept up with all her friends that way -- not me. Dare not ask her to 'friend' me. LOL

BTW congrats on your county hopping or whatever you call it. Very interesting. Don't think I've ever heard anything like that before.  What's next -- swimming the inland rivers?  Cheesy

Uh, no way! I'd be happy to be able to swim across a small stream!

Especially if there were a county line involved!

Passing along a warning:  there are sites offering photos of Bin Laden, dead.....they are a virus, and a very aggressive one.  Also, Huffington Post has some links that are warned against by my own security system, wobbly as it is.  On the news today, it was advised to back out of anything that had a warning, and open nothing in Spam (which, duh....).....

The hackers are getting more cheeky. Last night on FB I got a chat message from Trish about some supposed product. Twice. Completely out of character for her, so I guessed right away that something was up. A couple of minutes later she posted on her wall that she'd been hacked.

Same thing as regular message happened last month from Truman about a "free" ipad, and I assumed it was also the work of hackers, as it was.

Nikki, I forget how I cancelled it, 2 years ago, but you might enter a search asking that question. Also, it kind of stays dormant, so you really have to message friends, explain, and then delete them.  You can also take out most of your profile.
It's got its good and bad points, as far as staying. As long as you download the free AVG virus software, and never open any applications, you are safe from what is the most virus-ridden site on the internet.
For me, it's kind of neat to see what everyone is up to. In my case, I will not have relatives or local friends, as they just aren't BbM friendly. But I like the things people write about, so, for me, it's BbM people only. (Except some poor artist in Oz that added me on, but, hey, he seems to be tolerant enough).

Thanks for the info, Tony.  Yes, I can see the pros and cons, but I prefer email 'cause you can keep in touch as long as one's frineds have your email. I left my FB profile up, but don't check it every day. Cheesy

Last night, Anderson Cooper showed fake photos of Bin Laden which have been floating around the 'net.  He warned first that they were pretty gruesome, so turn away if you're spooked.  Anyway, they were and are, so I hope, by now, people have been alerted and won't open their email.  BTW what makes anyone think they would be chosen to received these photos?
