That Drive-In movie theater is on the top level of a parking garage in
Downtown Los Angeles.  I have never heard of it before.
Sounds cool:

Hello, My name is Sam and I am new to this group. The reason why I am writing is that I have a pair of boots that Jake wore in the movie Broke Back Mountain. I purchased them on ebay during and auction in conjunction with HRC. I have to sell them for financial reason but did not just to sell them to just  anyone. My wish is to sell them to a collector who will preserve this important part of movie history. If you are interested, please contact me privately at gmni2@aol.com. Serious inquires only please.

Thank you. Smiley

“Out West: LGBT Hidden Histories” and “Beyond Brokeback: The Impact of a Film”

August 18, 2012 (1:30 PM - 8:00 PM)

On the fifth anniversary of the premier of Brokeback Mountain, the Autry National Center in Los Angeles exhibited the two iconic shirts worn by Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal in the film. This exhibition was conceived by author Gregory Hinton. Surrounding this installation, Hinton created the Out West program series to illuminate positive contributions of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) community to the history and culture of the American West.

Join us on Aug.18 for the presentation “Out West: LGBT Hidden Histories” and “Beyond Brokeback: The Impact of a Film”. In addition, there will be a screening of the film Brokeback Mountain. This landmark showing is the first time Out West has come out east, giving audiences here an opportunity to explore this fascinating subject.

If you learned everything you knew about gay cowboys watching Brokeback Mountain, think again. The real history would include the creation of the gay rodeo in Reno. And the way the sport has spread across the West. It is another example of the West shaking up stereotypes. Las Vegas Clark County Library will host a lecture as part of its Out West series this Saturday evening to look at the history of gay rodeo.
