Hiya Suely,

Cyndi was never a favorite of mine, but she has a great voice.  I don't know that she's recorded any new material lately, but I do know she still actively performs and does shows.

Personally, I think that Cyndi gets "overlooked" alot because back in the 80s, she and Madonna got fame about the same time, and a "rivalry" was created between the two by record reviewers and critics.  Many would say that Cyndi was the "true talent" and that Madonna would be "out of the business in 6 months" or that Cyndi was a songwriter while Madonna's "image overshadows her music".

So when Madonna's career soared, and Cyndi's stopped, Cyndi seemed to disappear.

Cyndi collected more than a handful of Billboard Top 40 songs, and even when those stopped, newer songs continued to be hits on the dance charts and club charts.

"Girls Just Want to Have Fun" - #2
"All Through the Night" - #5
"Money Changes Everything" - #27
"She Bop" - #3
"Time After Time" - #1
"The Goonies 'R' Good Enough" #10
"Change of Heart" - #3
"True Colors" - #1
"What's Going On" - #12
"I Drove All Night" - #6

Madonna who?  Roll Eyes

I have seen Cyndi in concert more than a dozen times.  Phenomenal live performer.

She did this song first and she's a trillion times better than Celine Dion.
