I am hoping that my vicissitudes will start to improve soon, I have seen the surgeon and I should be having my knee replacement operation within 6-8 weeks. I fear that things will get worse before they get better unfortunately.

Thank you Sonja.
I think they just wanted to make sure that I was over sixty before they did it, because of the lifespan of the prosthesis, but I am so relieved that I will be able to get back to a normal life.
When the surgeon showed me my X Rays I was surprised that I had been able to walk at all really, it looked such a mess.
Apparently it will be a very big operation, not a straightforward knee replacement, but he seems to have every hope of success.
I am told, 4-5 days in hospital, out on crutches, walking with a stick after 4-6 weeks, and walking well by 12 weeks after the operation.
I tell you, it can't come quickly enough.
