Why would you think it's painful?  To me, that statement conjures up visions of him sitting alone in a dark room still thinking about her after 3 years, like he's pathetically alone, and bereft without her... 

I don't feel that way about people I've dated in the past...do you?

I'd make him shave, though, and neither of us would have those ugly tattoos.
What is it with some of the "beautiful people?"  Do they look in the mirror and
say, I am very handsome, well built, good looking.  Let me put ugly tattoos
I cannot remove all over my body?

It's the same thing to me as if I drew or pasted or sewed things onto
Marc Jacobs' fashion designs.

One of the comments below that article was by someone who couldn't "process" seeing two men together that way. Kind of startled me to read that. After six years of being on here (and reading Dan Savage), nothing much of anything startles me.  Cheesy
