Vera Farmiga, Peter Sarsgaard, Stanley Tucci and Christoph Waltz will be honored with the Cinema Vanguard Award at the 25th Santa Barbara International Film Festival.

The Cinema Vanguard Award was created in recognition of an actor who has forged his/her own path -- taking artistic risks and making a significant and unique contribution to film. In previous years, this award was bestowed on Ryan Gosling and Kristin Scott Thomas.

The Cinema Vanguard Award Tribute takes place on Friday, Feb. 12, 2010 at The Lobero Theatre in Santa Barbara, Calif. Tickets for this event are available now, discounted 20 percent until December 18 and can be purchased through www.sbfilmfestival.org or by calling 805.962.8543.

ABC Receives Complaints Over Adam Lambert's AMA Performance

After Adam Lambert's sexually charged performance on the American Music Awards Sunday night, ABC received a reported 1,500 complaints from viewers, according to Reuters. The network confirmed that it edited a portion of Lambert's performance out of the West Coast feed of the AMAs. Dick Clark Productions, the producers of the AMAs, said in a statement that they "did not expect the impromptu moments" in Lambert's song.

As previously reported, during Lambert's show closing performance of "For Your Entertainment," he shoved a male dancer's face into his crotch and spontaneously kissed his keyboard player. He also dragged a female dancer by her ankles and walked a pair of male dancers around on a leash.

Rolling Stone notes that ABC will probably not face FCC fines for the incident, mainly because it took place just before 11 p.m. ET, outside of the "family-friendly" 6-10 p.m. zone.

Adam Lambert says AMA censoring 'is discrimination'

For those of you who were in front of your television screens for Sunday night's 2009 American Music Awards, you saw the performance that has been of recent talk on both the internet and entertainment television shows.  Adam Lambert's provocative, and overly sexual performance was not well-received by as many as he thought. But is that what Lambert strived for anyway?

Lambert shared with Access right after his performance, "You know honestly, if I offended some people… it's apples and oranges. I'm not an artist that does things for every single person."

Meredith Baxter: 'I'm a lesbian'

Big revelation on this morning's Today show: Meredith Baxter is gay. "I'm a lesbian," she told Matt Lauer. "Some people would say, well, you're living a lie and, you know, the truth is – not at all. This has only been the past 7 years," said Baxter, 62,  explaining that she's "extraordinarily happy."
