I'm still knee-deep in peri-menopause, if that's what it's called...I've had what could be interpreted as two hot flashes over the course of two years or so. I know that because they were so incredibly distinctive, and when I described them, I was told by 2 diff people that that is what they were.... Still no other symptoms beyond an impossibly hard time shedding pounds; and some odd physical symptoms, like allergies that I never had before. I fear the onset of the psychological symptoms, but in my older sisters, I've mostly witnessed just irritability. And Mother has always been irritable, so.... LOL

I look forward to the male menopause contributions..I want to hear about all the  affairs.... Wink Wink

Love that there are men here!!!

I started Activella, plant based estrogen and progesterone. One week so far on it and I feel the difference!!

Had FSH tested and it showed clearly I am menapausal. So 5 days on this, and I'm sleeping!!!!!!!

That helps hugely in making the world a better place.  Grin Will see how this goes for now. Only thing
the package said was to take for a short period of time. What does that mean?  Undecided

Will ride it out for as long as I can stand it.

woot!!

The Menopause is great !!! I've just been hiking through snow covered mountains in just "cut offs , T-shirt and boots". I have my own "inbuilt" central heating !!

The snow melted in my wake. Cheesy Cheesy

PS. Did you know you can gointo the Menopause at 23 years of age? Shocked Cheesy Wink

My migraines have certainly had some connection with hormones, though in a rather confused way - periods, menopause, going on to HRT, coming off HRT (I've no other recognisable triggers apart from stress sometimes).  Now all those are well behind me and I still occasionally get them.  Sorry, not a very helpful answer Smiley.

I had no idea this thread existed...

My mom loved menopause. She was always cold, easily freezing - and all of a sudden she benefitted from those bursts of body heat.

She even sighed with pleasure when yet another heatwave flooded her - she was still taken by surprise.
