"One thing ta do when we get real bored is... drink a whole lot a whiskey then start rollin sheep down the side a the mountain.  Boy they can really pick up speed on a good incline."

"One day I got 42 sheep rollin down the hillside like bowlin balls.  Then lightnin struck.  Ol' Aguirre tried to blame me, like I could control the weather."
Man, I am in tears, utter hysterics.  "bowlin balls"  LOL LOL!  So funny!  Just the image of Jack rolling the fuzzy sheep like bowling balls just cracks me up. And the look on Ennis's face really looks like his reaction to Jack saying something crazy like that.  Oh so funny!!

Mommy, am I queer?

Lureen: No, Bobby, but you want your bolo tie to grow nice and long like Daddy's and Grampy's, right?  Now eat up!

(See previous bolo tie joke)

The book is Ennis; the movie is Jack.
Jack's death made the story greater; the Academy's tire iron made the movie greater.

Mommy, am I queer?

Lureen: I don't think so... but I LOVE what you did with those mustard and burgundy throw pillows over there!

Jack: Now, hon, we talked about this, he needs to watch a little football.  I don't want Ennis callin' him no queer when he visits.

LD: Who in the hell is Ennis?

Fayette: Remember what the doctor said about your heart, LD.

Bobby: Ennis is Daddy's boy<mmmmfffmfmfmfff!>

Lureen: Don't you just LOVE what Bobby did with these throw pillows?

That "mommy am I queer?" opener just can't be beat.  I started with the first line by Lureen and damn, it just kept comin!

Rodney, I'm hoping that you have seen Louisev's fabulous captions...and RickB's lovely and truthful "sad" ones. They piont to the truth of this place in their joy and their sorrow. Glad you found this haven.
Oh yes, most definitely!  Louisev's stuff is simply divine and RickB's brings tears.  I'm also glad I found this haven of lightness in such a world filled with darkness!

Say hello to my little friend!

Honestly, that was too easy.  You have to stop setting them up like that.

It's called teamwork, friend Grin
