Yep, It's our family annoyance song.  When we want to bug the sh*t out of someone we start singing the song!   Cheesy Cheesy Loved it!!!!!! These have been an abolute hoot! A laugh fest.
A question, I know that we aren't suppossed to imbed quotes, but it's such a great way to re-post the pic. Whut?

(Jack, thinking)"My brain hurts just watching that woman's lips move.  Maybe I can start an accidental fire in the ashtray or sumthin."

Actually, he dropped his cigarette in that scene and got the ashes on the front of his shirt. Lashawn was a real motor mouth!

Jack Twist's mother: "Want some coffee, don't you? Piece a cherry cake?"

Ennis Del Mar speaking politely out loud: "Thank you, ma'am, I'll take a cup a coffee but I can't eat no cake just now."

Ennis Del Mar possibly thinking: "Maybe a nice shot of whiskey...?" 'Cause I ain't feeling very easy in this place and all. Never thought I would end up here in the middle of nowhere, 'specially Lightnin' Flat.

Since Jack's mother believed in the Pentecost (aka was a Pentecostal), she would not have offered any guest something with alcohol in it. Alkyhawl? She wood a been agin it!

Jack, to himself: Oh God, Ennis, I had no idea. No fucking idea how you felt. No one has ever kissed me like that. Made me feel so wanted. Never. No one. God, Ennis...I know you can never ever say it, but you fuckin love me! You do! I know it now! Nothin has ever been clearer. And I love you right back! I could die right now. And be happy. From that first night in the tent, you've given me everything you had to give and I don't know how to tell you I love you. Ennis Del Mar....'cause a you.....I'm the happiest man in the world.........

Ennis, to himself: Jack Twist, you are the love a my life. I can't say it, but I can fuckin think it! And I know you can see right through me. You know. Kiss me, Jack, kiss me hard.....

That is PRECISELY why I started doing captions - to get the heck out of that thread.  I swear if I went in and read every snippy self righteous declaration I was going to throw a cup!

WhatEVER it was that got you on this role, sweetheart, I like the direction in which you're headed . . . .

"Yeah Daddy that Jack Twist sure is a looker... but - does he love you?"

that one breaks my heart...

is that the only time in the movie Ennis ever uses the word love (when he's talking to Alma J at the end)?
