And I find a great comfort in believing that Ennis doesn't have to grow old missing Jack.  It's how I always wanted it to be.

Sure enough. I was trying to be as vague as possible, but yeah, a car wreck on the same curve that got his parents after one of the happiest night's of his life, going out "on top", seeing Jack so soon. 
I should be so lucky.

I was thinking of a little kid asking his friend to save him a good seat at the school cafeteria
or a Saturday Matinee.

I just want to say to everyone who has posted on this thread that you are all genius's! I haven't laughed this hard in ages. Tears were streaming down my face, at one point I thought I would pass out because I couldn't breathe!

They were all amazing!!
